OT - David Merritt Petition
Where does David Merritt come up with these ideas? It appears he's trying to get President Obama to wear one of his shirts during his visit to U of M, when he speaks at graduation on May 1st. He's got a separate website, http://www.obama4imu.com, for the Obama 4 IMU Campaign and everything. The campaign has already been covered by WXYZ Ch. 7 and TV20 News.
It doesn't appear to be anything about politics, they just want to spread IMU's message more. They already have nearly 1000 total petitions.

They might convince him to wear the shirt, but I'm doubtful about the sideways hat.
Hope the guy the best after he graduautes, what a leader he was for the team when they went to the NCAA Tournament.
If he can get him to wear one and pose for a pic more power to him. Would love to see Obama's reaction if Merritt put it on his site to help sell shirts. Someone else tried doing it for something with an Obama on a billboard somewhere and they made them take it down.
No harm in trying - go for it.
