OT: Dancing with the Stars (Spoiler Alert)

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

Michigan's own Meryl Davis just won Dancing with the Stars. She is a University of Michigan student best known for winning the Olympic Gold in ice dancing with fellow Wolverine Charlie White.

She won Dancing with the Stars with Maksim "Maks" Aleksandrovich.

ONTOPIC

  • Anything Michigan sports related
  • Anything related to other Big Ten teams or upcoming opponents
  • Stuff about the blog itself
  • University of Michigan topics that don't relate to sports

I'd say it qualifies under number 4 since she's a student

I'd add a thrilling spoiler from another popular fantasy novel that came out five years before Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but people are remarkably sensitive about that for some reason.

She was on DWTS?  And you're telling me an ice dancer won a dance competetion?!  If she wouldn't have won, that would be some news.

(Just razzing...I've no true opinion on the matter)

was that she tamed Max, the bad boy of the show.  They were transfixed by the chemistry established between the two.  [Friendship?  More than friendship?  The soap side that keeps 'em tuning in.]  She with her hypnotic magic leads the Russian Bear to his first win in 11-12 tries.

Fortunately my misspelling of Maks proves I'm still not quite an addict.  (Former dancer with female card watching this year to see Meryl and Charlie.  He got robbed, by the way.  But not by Meryl.)

Did you not watch the Olympics? Honest question, because Meryl has a very unique look.

Also, I'm like several others here that only watched because she was on. My parents -- I've living at home while I study for the Bar -- switched the channel from the Heat-Pacers game (I switched to a feed on my computer). I was going to leave but then realized that it was her.
