OT Cowboy Classic Group Airfare

Submitted by cozy200 on
While it is very early in the process, i am looking to secure group rate airfare (usually a nice savings) for the cowboy classic. Group rate is 10 or more persons traveling from the same airports on the same dates and times. I am waiting on quotes from several different airlines and wanted to gauge interest. If anyone here is interested please let me know. Details below: Traveling from Detroit on August 31st to Dallas/Forth Worth Returning via the same airports on Sept 2nd. This is just airfare so any other accomodations are your choice. Contact info: [email protected] Thanks alot and Go Blue!

Currently 5 people interested, one question has been about thursday departure instead of friday. My group of 2 has no issue with this, so dates can be flexible fyi. Obviously depends on the majority of the group and if this works. Added note we can also do multiple groups of 10. Again this is just to gauge interest, details will come forward if we get to 10.

Depends on what airline. Labor day weekend is going to be tricky. Southwest was 380 and change flying with just 4 so we'll have to wait for the quotes. The last time i had a group rate it averaged out to 90 per ticket is total savings and that wasnt a holiday weekend.

.....out of Lansing to Dallas/Fort Worth.  United Airlines.  $350 with a layover in OHare each way.  Thursday to Sunday.

The layover makes it a longer trip but I got the flight times I was looking for for a price I could stomach..... plus don't have to deal with the parking hassle that you can look forward to at the larger airports.

Was tempted to fly out of Chicago.  Not much farther than DTW for me and prices from Chicago (both airports) to Dallas are pretty cheap.

Would definitely be interested in hearing just how much of a discount it would be. Was actually considering flying out of Columbus since it had the cheapest rates (as of last week; it doesn't currently). Figured that'd be better than driving all the way to Chicago, although going out of Detroit would obviously be the best plan if the price is right.
