OT - Corey Smith (Akron Buchtel) to Tenn

Just saw this pop up on the twitters. We haven't offered Corey but his name has come up recently as he is Jarrod Wilson's teammate at Akron Buchtel and at one time they were a package deal (http://mgoblog.com/diaries/tomvh-interview-jarrod-wilsons-coach-ricky-powers). He just committed to Tennessee and, well, there's not much else going on today.

Jared's name is just plain "Jared" nothing crazy. And BTW what and awesome and super smart kiddo...
Wilson is amongst my top "wants" for defensive back. Probably the top dog for safety.
They shouldn't be a package deal. Smith has apparently used up all of his high school eligibility but hasn't me the core requirements to graduate. Posters on volnation expect him to either go the prep school or juco route.
Seen in a few places that he'll have to go JuCo first so a package deal shouldn't be a concern right now.

Smith's name probably won't be heard in recruiting circles until 2014. Lots of academic work to do sadly.
That has to improve our chances with Wilson now that the package deal is officially done. From everything I've seen I think we should have a real good shot at Wilson.
I hope so. He's another kid that I really like. Great ballhawk.
