My buddy works for one of their players dads, says from what he hears, majority of players don't care much for him. Apparently, last St Pattys day Dantonio warned them about going out and partying and Cook was first one to violate, lost some respect among the top guys. Other examples too, but I remember him telling me that specifically.

I don't typically defend Sparties....but in this case, I should.  There have been plenty of QBs that have come out of college, that were a bit of an ahole.  As long as they can play football well in the NFL, no body will care.

From Dan Marino, to Brett Favre to Ben Roethlisberger...plenty of jerks have had great success at the NFL.

This is McShay just talking stuff...and he needs to quit watching that crappy Kevin Costner movie too.

Much ado about nothing.

It has been already known by the NFL scout circle. It's not hatred that some make it out to be but they tolerate him because all he does is win games.

It's a case of Connor Cook being socially awkward and some players have trouble interacting with him.

Regardless, he's seen as a 1st round pick and I know some has him at top 10.

...like, c'mon. It's just an OT. After hearing Cook talk about "God is good..." after the devil went down to A2 and fumbled the Bunyan to them, a good skewering of him is time well spent.

People are free to post what they please. But, it should also be noted that a great many UM fans are not interested in going through an opposing teams' dirty laundry looking for a minor stain.

First things first, he is a member of the leadership Council at MSU, so he is respected enough to be a leader (voted on by the players).  So any comment that he isn't a captain so he must be hated must be put in that context.

Second, he literally immediately apologized to Archie Griffin when he saw the video because he realized that the optics were much worse than what he realized at the time (when he, umm, shook Griffin's hand awkwardly?).

Finally, I am sure everyone loved every Michigan QB ever (Devin Gardner actually was a super nice guy the three times I met him, so lets leave him out of my sarcasm here...).

I don't normally get into player personalities, but imagine the difference if he had been coached by an enthusiastic, competitive Harbaugh, rather than a pissed off Dantonio who thinks the world owes him something.

.. as a passer, or whatever.  It's about the other stuff.  After watching Harbaugh talk about steel spines and humble hearts, and seeing the character of his team, it just makes me wonder if Connor Cook would be presenting himself differently if he hadn't been coached to feel disrespected.
