Not only does he pick up the slam, but when the next rankings come out he will pass Federer and be the #1 Swiss player for the first time in his career.  Huge accomplishment, and well-deserved!

He was playing well enough to possibly beat Nadal at full-strength. Kind of anti-climactic how it ended though...Rafa could barely move with his back injury. I sound like Izzo. I was just expecting/hoping for an epic 5 setter, since the Federer v Nadal match didn't live up to the hype.

I try to watch as many of the slams as possible (Wimbledon is the best and I want to go there so badly). I was looking forward to this final match but was disappointed in the outcome. I like Nadal a lot. Still though, good for Stan and well deserved.

I am absolutely stunned.  After never winning a set against Nadal in his career, he came out with an incredible performance.  He deserves it.  I think he is the only person besides Del Potro to break the streak of Slam wins by the big 4.  Awesome stuff!

Totally dominated the match. And the backhand? I thought the forehand/serving was absolutely phenomenal. The ball was off the racket low and like a rocket.
