OT: Confess your unpopular opinions
A couple days ago a hashtag made the rounds on twitter that implored users to share opinions they have that aren't the most popular. We've had some quality confession threads in these parts before:
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-creepy-stories-featuring-story-turned-short
(That one about songs you like but are embarrased about that I can't find)
so let's hear it. What do you believe despite knowing that it's not a popular opinion? Team related or otherwise (yes, many people will want to retain Borges. Be creative).
I'll go first: I really enjoy a good black bean burger and frequently order them rather than beef burgers.

Columbus is a good city to live in.

Take the fans and university out of Cbus and you're right. Kidding aside, it's a great city.

One of those conspiracies where you're making lists of people to incarcerate when the End Times are near?

The Auto Industry gets really quiet at the end of the year and I'm a little bored at work.

I think global warming is overrated. I'm f-cking freezing right now.

I think they're annoying, mostly.
I don't watch baseball anymore.
I think Jay-Z is ridiculous.
I believe Lee Harvey Oswald probably acted alone in killing President Kennedy.

I'm always up for new takes on the topic as long as they fit within (what I think are) reasonable boundaries.

Its definitely interesting. I'm probably more in your camp as well, but I always enjoy a good conspiracy theory.

"I'm Che Guevara with bling..." Yes, and I'm Ho Chi Minh, and I'd love to turn over control of Vietnam to the US or France.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:05 PM ^
I agree with every statement you posted.

Try as I have through the years, I still cannot stand bananas or anything with banana in it. Yes, it has created situations where I have had to politely decline things like cake through the years.
I also don't like fish sticks of the prepackaged variety, but yet fresh seafood I will eat all the time. I have the same quibble with chicken nuggets - Tyson brand? Awful. McDonald's? Awesome.

Is farm raised catfish "seafood"? I argued last night with my wife that it was not. Seafood must come from salt water.

Pitch Perfect is pretty well-liked by the male audience these days. Kind of reminds me of Mean Girls in its growing popularity amongst the male population

the walking dead sucks.

I don't get the appeal of the zombie craze at all. Don't find it interesting.
(same with vampires/werewolves but that might be a more popular idea)
December 11th, 2013 at 1:45 PM ^
I support these ideas wholeheartedly.

Not sure where you're at on the forbidden subjects here, but I'm not sure I've disagreed with you once.
Edit: Disagree on black bean burgers. Sorry.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:20 PM ^
I have some real reasons behind black bean burgers, but in general if it's fresh, made in the restaurant, etc. I think they're delicious. Goose Island's in Chicago is outstanding, as is their Turkey Burger.

I like the first two seasons, but now it's just boring the hell out of me and I'm only watching it because I am stuck in it. I'm just waiting (or hoping) for it to get better again, but I'm thinking that won't happen. It was more exciting when the group was on the run, but I hate it when they have a place to stay. It's becoming stale.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:30 PM ^
I have downloaded a number of their songs.
I don't understand the ancherman obsession
I don't really like fudge

I'm not a fan of the Godfather series. I made through the original and never watched another.
I find Colin Cowherd entertaining.
I can't stand the Dan Lebatard show on ESPN Radio and the "narrator" voice that introduces it coming out of breaks. The show is rude to guests and provides to informational value or entertainment for that matter.
I hate doing IT work (17 years in IT and HRIS) and want to be a Storm Chaser.
I think Mark Dantonio is a really good coach(still can't stand him, although never met him).
The NBA has been crap since Bird and Magic retired
The Lions will NEVER win the Super Bowl as long as a Ford owns them. They are soft and Schwartz is a knucklehead.
I'll keep my UM opinions to my self.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:49 PM ^
the "Schwartz is a knucklehead" opinion is very unpopular, at least among those I hang out with.
