OT: Confess your unpopular opinions
A couple days ago a hashtag made the rounds on twitter that implored users to share opinions they have that aren't the most popular. We've had some quality confession threads in these parts before:
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-creepy-stories-featuring-story-turned-short
(That one about songs you like but are embarrased about that I can't find)
so let's hear it. What do you believe despite knowing that it's not a popular opinion? Team related or otherwise (yes, many people will want to retain Borges. Be creative).
I'll go first: I really enjoy a good black bean burger and frequently order them rather than beef burgers.

I confuse everyone.

Fantasy football has run its course...time to let it go.

I prefer college FB so much more than pro, I was completely losing interest on Sundays. I got interested again when FFB started...now I have more of a reason to tune in.
Also, I'm a Raiders fan going back to about 1968, and they haven't been relevant since the 1980's or so. That didn't help the pro game much.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:51 PM ^
I am the same, as the NFL is almost non-existent to me these days. I watch the Browns and definitely playoffs, but I can't sit on my couch every Sunday and watch any and all games on TV like I can with NCAA.
December 11th, 2013 at 4:13 PM ^
I disagree. I think the NFL is far and away a better sport to watch than NCAAF.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:50 PM ^
I forget when it actually happened but I lost all interest in the NFL quite some time ago. About 8 years ago a friend asked me to join his fantasy football league and that is the only thing that got me back into watching games. If I give up FF, I give up the NFL. THat probabaly wouldn't be a bad thing though....
December 11th, 2013 at 2:20 PM ^
Talk football with someone really into FF and you'll find he doesn't know anything about football.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:44 PM ^
This is very, very true.
December 11th, 2013 at 4:05 PM ^
That, and it is far and away the worst of the fantasy sports. One or two guys get hurt and it's curtains for your team.
December 13th, 2013 at 4:56 PM ^
You make an excellent point, but you example suggests you may be a bears fan. For this reason alone I'm afraid I can never agree with anything you say.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:32 PM ^
OMG YES PLEASE
I did it three times, I think from 2007 to 2009, and it's definitely over the top now. It needs to go away. I barely watch the NFL now anyway, so doing fantasy football is pointless since I don't know the players that much.
December 11th, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
Some asshole next to me says, "that's ok he's on my fantasy team."
NO IT'S NOT OK!!!!

The Rolling Stones are the most overrated band ever followed by AC/DC and Steve Miller Band.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:29 PM ^
Never saw what was so good about them, sounds like elevator music
December 11th, 2013 at 1:35 PM ^
Here we disagree, Sir. Have you been exposed to a wide range of there catalogue or merely their six most popular radio songs? When you dig deep, you will discover brilliance. Check out The Soft Parade.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:39 PM ^
Yes, the Meddler knows.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:53 PM ^
It is true.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:18 PM ^
Led Zeppelin is great, but I place Pink Floyd above them (obviously).
December 11th, 2013 at 2:46 PM ^
favorite albums and I love Wish You Were Here. However, pound for pound, I don't think the overall "quality" of Pink Floyd's catalogue can stand up to Zeppelin's body of work.
December 13th, 2013 at 11:23 AM ^
I can respect this assessment.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:54 PM ^
but have to say I do like AC/DC and the Steve Miller Band. Also love zepplin and Pink Floyd while I'm just so-so on the Doors if I'm being honest. I like them, but wouldn't put them on the same level as Zepplin or Floyd.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:19 PM ^
Not an opinion, simply a fact.
December 13th, 2013 at 4:59 PM ^
LZ would have been a very good band without Robert Plant singing. But with him they are absolutely, possitively God-awful.
Robert Plant's voice sounds like the mating call of a stomach pump.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:24 PM ^
I can only assume you're not a fan of the blues? I love the blues so when my Dad first handed me L.A. Woman as a kid my mind was blown. Some of their other albums (there's not many) are not as bluesy. I agree with the guy above me. The Soft Parade is pretty awesome. Although I definitely know people who are not fans. So you're not alone.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:41 PM ^
100% in agreement there.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:35 PM ^
I hate the Stones. They have some really good music, but most of it is pop garbage that every radio station puts on repeat every day.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:52 PM ^
I mean, I like some of their stuff, but when you've got like 500 songs, you should have more than ten or so good ones.
Also, my favorite Stones song is "As Tears Go By", a very un-manly ballad recorded in 1965. Maybe I broke the offensive line because of this.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:50 PM ^
All AC/DC songs sound the same to me.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:56 PM ^
All the later ZZ Top stuff sounds the same to me.
Fun fact about ZZ Top...drummer Frank Beard is the one WITHOUT the beard.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:58 PM ^
That is how all rock 'n roll is.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:14 PM ^
Agreed. And furthermore, they all suck except a few of the Bon Scott classics from their early days.
December 11th, 2013 at 5:43 PM ^
True, but when AC/DC has a new album out you know what it is going to sound like. You won't hear any piano, techno DJ type stuff, or a slow love song. Just power chords.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:52 PM ^
I don't like the Rolling Stones either. I do like AC/DC though. The only song I know by Steve Miller Band is "Fly Like An Eagle," which I like, but I also prefer the Seal version more.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:30 PM ^
I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, I'm a midnight toker, I get my lovin' on the run.
December 11th, 2013 at 11:32 PM ^
You've basically heard only the worst Steve Miller song then.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:48 PM ^
I think U2 is the most overrated band of all-time. Never understood the obsession.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:28 PM ^
I think she has a weird body. Obviously she has two very nice assets, and she's beautiful, but her body as a whole is kind of weird.....I'd like to take this moment to thank God for neg bangs not being a thing anymore.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:34 PM ^
I thought that it might be a good time for this thread for that reason.
Also, I don't get the Kate Upton obsession. I think she's attractive, but these OMG HOT girls come and go. Before her it was.... Megan Fox? and before her was....? there will be another new one soon.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:34 PM ^
You should be deported to Antarctica.
December 11th, 2013 at 1:55 PM ^
Very pretty and all that, but...
December 11th, 2013 at 2:11 PM ^
She has big boobs, I get it. The rest of her...I mean, hot in the "real girl" sense but there are many better looking women in media today.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:26 PM ^
Someone's a fan of r/realgirls
December 11th, 2013 at 2:18 PM ^
I fully expect Kate Upton to gain about 50 lbs all of a sudden in the near future. And I would still give up five years of golf for one weekend of making love to her.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:47 PM ^
...but I don't golf, or make love. I bang.
December 11th, 2013 at 2:29 PM ^
I don't know about "weird" body, but I definitely think she is overrated. Like you said, she has a couple of very nice assets, but other than that, I don't see it. I can probably name 5-10 more attractive women off the top of my head.
Quite frankly, I think the fact that she is a supposed Michigan fan has perpetuated the obsession.

So is Russell Brand. If he didn't have the accent he'd be 0 funny.
