Nice to see Manning do his best Hagerup impersonation on that bobbled snap already.

Brady played poorly?  On the road with fewer weapons and an opportunistic defense that had all opportunity taken away today.  Denver was the better team but the odds were stacked against Brady coming in.  Making the AFC championship with the talent surrounding Brady I would argue was quite remarkable.

Manning had home field

Manning had a running game

Manning had a competent defense

Manning had time to throw

Manning had an actual recieving corps

Manning had "accuaracy and threw recievers open"...well YA!  There are 10 QB's in the league that would have won today in Mannings shoes.

Brady had Belicheck

is it so wrong for me to root for Peyton Manning and the Broncos We win for years and years we've eaten Peyton for lunch? I think it's his time.

The media will of course make this about the QBs, but if you switched Brady and Manning, the result would have been the same.

I love Brady, but he missed a couple crucial passes today. It was unfortunately an off day for him. However, I do think Patriots were missing too many crucial pieces on defense and offense, to truely have a competetive day against the Broncos at their home. Peyton had the crowd on his side, and did anyone else notice that after almost every play, the Broncos had a defensive player on the ground hurt. If they were doing that to slow down the Patriots, which I believe they were, there needs to be something done about not letting a defense do that.

Peyton had several overthrows as well, it's just that they weren't crucial or noticed because the very next play would be yet another 15-yard gain.  Manning also had way more time than Brady.  I didn't see much difference in play from the QBs in this game.

In fairness, the Pats lost a lot of starters this year. You bring back Gronk, Vince Wilfork, and Jerod Mayo, and the Patriots actually probably win this game. They still need to get him a true deep threat, but injuries happen. Oh and Thompkins didn't play today either, and Talib got hurt in the first. Just loads of injuries. I see your point though, but I think getting their guys back and having a good draft is good enough. Maybe sign a good receiver so Tom has a veteran deep threat.

If your the Pats and you look at Denver with Manning for 1 to 2 more years they just have way more talent then the Pats. In two years Brady is 38. I don't think you can afford to wait it out. It goes against the Patriot way but its time to sell out the future to get what they need to win now. Barring an early Manning retirement they just don't have the team they need to compete.

I would like to see Seattle make it to the Superbowl. But won't complain if the 49ers make it.

I was torn between the Pats and Broncos. I hated the Cowboys growing up so I was rooting for the orange crush in their superbowl game against Dallas. I don't mind seeing Denver in the Superbowl. Though, I would have been rooting for Brady if the Pats would have made it.
