OT: Comcast Watchathon
I thought some on the board might appreciate a heads up about a Comcast Watchathon. If you use the On Demand feature and go to the Watchathon you have access to some HBO and Showtime shows without a subscription. Game of Thrones and Dexter were the two that caught my eye.
I figured this out about forty-five minutes ago and am watching S6E2 of Californication. I'm all caught up on Dexter but that's going to get a lot of time on my TV this week as well.
I gave up on Californication after a few episodes of season 6. I think the writing gets a little lazy.
season one and two were fantastic. I've enjoyed the rest of them enough not to give up on it, but I'm also the guy who still looks forward to The Office every (third) week because once I'm into something it takes quite a bit for me to stop watching.
Also Shameless or House of Lies but I'm pretty sure neither of those two are available.
Newsroom was good but really frustrating. Despite all of his best efforts against it, it just became a Sorkin soapbox by the finale. Daniels was really good though and he really carried it through some rough patches.
All I know is ..... Winter is coming. 3-31-13.
I had cancelled my hbo and showtime from Comcast about 8 months ago. My bill got the memo, my cable boxes did not. I'm a mother f'in premium channel outlaw! Or maybe some rep gave it to me as a kind gesture and I wasn't paying attention...
Moved into a house for my Junior year of college and the cable just worked. Two years later my roommates and I left without a bill.
