The Marlins. It seem like every few years they win a World Series, then the cheap owner dumps all the young talent.
Though don't they at least get trades? These are straight up drops!
They dump the talent because they wouldn't have been able to afford their contracts the players would deserve. Even when the Marlins are good, NOBODY goes to the games.
Not sure if that will change with the new stadium...
Kinda surprised they dropped Dallas Clark. Was he hurt or something? Cause as far as I remember he's been really productive for them
All those guys (but painter) are injury prone. Im still sad to see Clark go. He is a tough MoFo
Neck injury iirc but he was a HUGE fan favorite
Clark has missed most of the past two seasons.
As the owner of him in fantasy football the past 2 years I can confirm that. Clarks days are done!
It's time to break up the band. I actually like what the Colts are doing. Gives them a chance to put together a group that can come up together. IMHO this is a good move on their part.
I hope the Lions can pick up Clark to go along with Pettigrew!
Pettigrew, Scheffler and Heller. As incredibley awesome as a Dallas Clark pick up would be, there's absolutely no reason in even thinking about shelling out that kind of cash for a position we don't really have a need at. Would be awesome though...
Makes me wonder if Lions snag Addai on the cheap
Lions don't have much spending leeway but that would be a great pickup if he was cheap.
After Kevin Smith and having Jahvid Best, would you really want another injury prone RB? Mikel LeShoure's track record not the best so far either.
Honestly I don't think he's ever been very effective
to me, none of these players work in a system minus Peyton Manning. They were horrible last season, now with Manning they were Pro- Bowl caliber just shows how much Peyton was worth to this team the last 14 years. I am not a Colts fan, but is has to be a sad day to be a Indy fan.
They already ripped the band aide half way off by releasing Manning, may as well rip the whole thing off and rebuild rather than another painful season.

Robert Irsay ripped a team from Baltimore in the middle of the night with a bunch of moving vans. Jim Irsay ripped the same team from Indy broad daylight with a pen.
The apple certainly didn't fall far from the tree.
true...may as well just bite the bullet now
i wonder how many wanted out if peyton was going
It doesn't seem like they're putting Luck in a position for a successful rookie season. Without Wayne, Garcon and Clark he isn't going to have much to throw to.
To answer the OP...yes....other teams have had "fire sales" such as this before. As a matter of fact my Cleveland Browns hold an annual "fire sale" to rid themselves of those pesky high draft picks so they can stock up on those oh so valuable 5th and 6th rounders.
they've probably seen too many of those commercials about how you can find tom bradys in the late rounds.
Manning Wayne and Clark in Denver sounds nice!! Lol
