OT: College basketball player loses battle with brain cancer
Lauren Hill, 19, of Laurenceberg, IN was a freshman at Mount Joseph University in Cincinnati. The NCAA allowed her school to move up their first game of the season to November 3 so that she would be still able to play. They held the game at Xavier's arena before a crowd over 10k+. She scored the first two and the last two points of the game. Pat Summitt was there to present Lauren a courage award at halftime. I think I need a moment.

, but won at life. This is sad, but mainly just damn impressive. What a tough person.
Cancer is the worst.
My SO lost the grandpa to cancer in January. Just gut-wrenching, really.
My god why did I watch this video at work? It's so good though.
Thanks for posting this (sad) update. What an incredible gift she gave these last months of her life. She really did more living in her short time on earth than most will ever do.

maximize the most life offered her. She was granted only 19 years, but she lived them as if she had 91 years. Farewell, Lauren.
I cried. Amazing story. My prayers go out to her family and friends, who were so blessed to have known her.
So right about making the most of your time EE. It seems like she really tried to as well.
Upper Deck made a bsketball card of her. I thought that was pretty cool.
