OT - Coachella / Holographic Tupac

Lots of buzz this morning about the Dre / Snoop / each and every West Coast rapper of all time performance at Coachella that included a holographic Tupac.

Was anyone there?  I would like to get word from the community about whether it was more "awesome" or "creepy".  Did it look as good as it seems on youtube?

I like this trend of people acting as their usernames...there was someone named "Blueto" on the Mascot Panic Thread who said "this was worse than when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor," among other jokes.

Maybe when we're all bored over the summer because there are no Michigan sports going on, we can have a thread where everyone has to act as their username/avatar. It could potentially be hilarious.

You know Dr. Dre produces beats right? So when he creates solo albums. Those beats on that album, were produced by him. Thing is, during each 10 year hiatus he manages to produce VERY little to keep himself relevant. Unlike more deticated producers like Madlib, and the guy in my profile picture, who put out solo albums with regularity.

I'm not saying he's garbage. I agree he's a legend. There's just so much hype behind the guy, and no one notices his albums all sound the same even though they were all created in different decades. Call me crazy, but I believe artists should progress and evolve.

Rakim, Truth Hurts, Xzibit, Knoc-turnal, Royce da 5'9", J Flexx, Rashid Hadee, The Game and I'm sure the list goes on. He's the P. Diddy of West Coast Hip Hop. Which might be cool to the casual Hip Hop fan, but to those who represent the culture, it's not.

Also, it is about money and profits, that's why it called the music business. And from the looks of things he's been right to cut bait on more than a couple of the names above.
You and I both know calling him WC Diddy is a nothing but a cheap shot. Just ask Eminem, 50, Snoop, Warren G, Daz, Korrupt etc.

As long as we're off topic, Dj Quik's favorite name of a new group is One Block Radius. Dont believe me ask him!

We are here because we're not all there.

15 years gone and he STILL has great abs.

The whole thing is a bit strange.  When Dre left Death Row the relations between he and Tupac were less than ideal to put it mildly. . . Odd to read that Dre was the driving force behind this, strange how death/time changes feelings (no judgment).

Watching him paint "Happy Trees"  would be epic.

I was there. That set was unreal. Need about a week to detox after a hell of a weekend. I wish it never ended.

I wasn't close enough to the stage to appreciate the detail, but it was amazing to see nonetheless. Everyone was just stunned. One of the guys we camped next to claimed from the first night that they'd do a "resurrection of Tupac" using a hologram. We didn't believe him, but we definitely gave him props for having that inside info after last night. I don't even know how people find that stuff out. It was my first time out there and had an amazing time. I didn't think the lineup was weak at all, but I have a really broad taste in music.

A Møøse once bit my sister. No realli!
