OT: CMU nominated for ESPY for Hail Mary in the 2014 Bahamas Bowl

Central Michigan University has been nominated for a 2015 ESPY in the "Best Play" category for nearly winning in an epic comeback the 2014 Bahamas Bowl with a Hail Mary.

I remember watching that play at home. My brother in law and I were bored out of our minds and just decided to turn anything on. Wow, frickin hell of a play.

Damn shame they lost that game, but what an unbelievable finish.

That would be nice but highly doubtful. Western has risen to the occasion and pulled off some upset wins this past decade (Virginia, Illinois, UConn, and two wins over Iowa) but unfortunately, MSU is actually a solid program now....and I hate that I just typed that. Several years ago, when Virginia Tech went to Kalamazoo, I thought Western had a chance to stay with them. Tech had put in consecutive mediocre seasons and had a loss at home to James Madison in recent memory. But after one promising drive, the Hokies ended up destroying them. I suspect this will be the same situation.

No way man, you forget that WMU is waaaay better now than it was with the team that played VTech. Western couldn't stop Suggs and Jones, but no one in the country could. Fleck has recruiting back to the Steve Neal and Tim Lester days. I dont thin they will beat MSU but it will be closer than many think. Western hasn't been this good in a while.

2 Central alum and a current Chippewa (everyone 〽️ fans) at my house for Christmas Eve dinner... We weren't really watching at all and then the place just erupted as we flooded the TV for the final.
