OT: CC (sort of), but at tOSU

Submitted by sandiego on

As i sit here wasting time reading articles on the interwebs, I come across a great quote from Tressel addressing rumors that he won't be returning to tOSU next year:

"This world is ever-evolving with wastes of time," he said.

I suggest we all apply the sweaters logic and put your on-topic player and CC discussions based on twitter feeds from former models, the ESPN Drama and Rumor Hour (formerly known as SportsCenter), and incredibly reliable inside sources who have been consistently incorrect for several years in a sack and bury them all in the yard or under the snow.

Until Jan. 2, when I suggest you check your MGoRumormill sources every 5 minutes.

It is actually TMZ for women - its how the leagues and TV channels have opened up the over 50% of TV viewers who have vaginas - by focusing on drama, relationships, rumors, and baseless speculation.  They add an actual brief segment with actual sports related info and useful information to keep the guys honest, but what are you gonna do - go watch Vampire Diaries or Hellcats?

ESPN has become Days Of Our Lives:  The NFL episodes (or NBA or NCAA or insert sport here).

at tOSU was, "The Influence of Market Share and Female Viewers on Sports Broadcasting:  How ESPN became EsPN"

Get it?  Little s for sports and big E for Entertainment.

I have no scientific basis for my gender related statements what-so-ever.  Merely personal observations, opinions, 3rd hand conversations with people who know less than me and pure 100% speculation, which I  pass to the MGoCommunity as fact because it is now written somewhere on the internet and therefore must be reliable.

off the tit of MGoBlog and crappy "sources" (really rumors and opinions), I say let the speculation run rampant with flight trackers and incredibly reliable cousins- girlfriends-sister-whose coworker once dated a guy who played pop warner w/ (Insert rumored coach name here), come Sunday, past Standfords bowl game, into national signing day and right up until kick-off next year.  Hell, maybe it'll mess up Stanford's or San Diego States recruiting the same way it is allegedly messing up ours.

What else are we gonna do w/o actual football to discuss?
