OT: Caribbean Festival in AA?

Submitted by wingedsig on

This post is out of pure hatred for whatever is going on on Madison St. right now. WTF IS GOING ON AT 8:30AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING TO WAKE ME UP?!?!?!?

Can someone please tell me why it sounds as if there is a Caribbean festival going on? I'm so confused. I woke up thinking I got roofied, stripped down to my boxers and flew to Jamaica all in one night.

/I would never post this during normal sports-talking hours, I'm just livid and wish I just knew wtf is going on. Even though I would still not be able to sleep, at least I wouldn't be so confused.

/Denard Robinson is awesome.

What does this have to do with how terrible the defense is?  You didn't even offer a new scheme or defensive alignment.

You do seem pretty pissed off though, which is close enough I suppose.  But next time, try to second-guess something.

Its some sort of marathon, and at state and south U there is a steel drum band playing. They started practicing at 8am. So pleased for everyone involved.

It is the Big House Big Heart Run. I would know since I ran the 10k this morning. Good job to all of the finishers! It was fun a race. We got to finish on the 50 of the Big House after running through the tunnel with a Go Blue Banner at the finish to jump up and touch.

The 10k race started at ~8 am, the 5k at 9:20 am, and the 1 mile fun run at ~10 am.

Everyone should run the race next year. There are many great causes you can run for. I ran for Mott specifically (although specifically $9 of your registration fee is split between the neurology dept, Mott, and the Cardio Dept.).

I apologize if my rant seems insensitive, now that it has been brought to my attention that this was for charity. Congrats for those who finished.

(seriously though, steel drums and caribbean bird calls at 8:30AM in a very residential area on a Sunday? What does this have to do with raising money? In Michigan?...jeez)
