OT: Calpari is a "tweaking" GENIUS (/sarcasm)
I know this guy is a nobody, but I thought this article was too hilarious not to post.
Basically the argument is that Calipari's "tweak" wasn't actually a tweak, but by calling it a tweak, he's a genius. That's what got the fans and team going. It wasn't about uber-talented freshmen finally gelling or a player making an insanely difficult, NBA three-point shot two games in a row. No, it was because he sold "The Tweak."
If only we had a coach who was known for his adjustments...
This board today, is like Deja Vu all over again.
place now that Joffrey is dead? GRIII?
That's only a spoiler for anyone who just booted up their computer for the first time today.
for watching one of the biggest shows of all time like an idiot and being surprised when you find something out before you wanted to.
I'm getting real tired of not being able to have a conversation regarding the books with anyone anymore. I watch the show, come to work and talk to my friend that has read them all, and am like "Hmmm, that's weird. Rob's wife is totally still alive in the books" and people flip the fuck out like I just told them John Snow murders Daenerys Targaryen (Not a real spoiler, calm down). I'm sorry, you've had 14 years to get to this point in the TV show by reading (book 3 game out in 2000). If you don't want to read the books that's fine, but don't freak out when my friend and I who HAVE read the books are having a conversation about how the show is diverging from the books or some theories we have on what's going to happen in book 6/7. Walk away. Stay off the internet until you've caught up.
tl;dr SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE
I was waiting to watch the 6th movie because I only watch 2 movies every 7 years and haven't gotten there yet!!
but probably not thread worthy on its own...if you have a minute, go to Twitter and search for US Airways (warning, this all started with something extremely NSFW so, tread lightly)
Ha , that's not safe for anyone....
WHYYYYY?!
My fault for googling it.
Jesus Benoit Balls, at least there weren't benoit balls in the shot.
is whether he is a twerking genius.
That is what I thought it read. It's the only reason I clicked.
To be fair, the previous thread on this was before the revealing of what the "Tweak" actually was, and the speculation was actually precisely what it turned out not to be, as I recall. USA Today had talked to several players and deduced that this was in fact an overall mechanical change to their offense, if you will, and as it turns out, it was an adjustment to the behavior of one person. Interesting indeed.
Yeah, I know it isn't news. And honestly I posted it, not because it shows what the "tweak" was, but because it's another example of the media giving way too much credit where it simply isn't deserved. You made a tweak? You're a genius! It turns out it wasn't a tweak? You're a genius for calling it a tweak.
There are a lot of successful NCAA basketball coaches who deserve a ton of credit. Calipari is not one of them, and yet there are certain media types (again, I know this guy is a nobody) who WILL find a way to give him credit regardless.
I invented this thing that you can download music onto and you can recharge it and can take it around with you and hear your own music. I call it a MePod. Aren't I a genius?
that they lost the damn game.
May not be tweaking genius but it is certainly coaching genius. Pushing the right buttons at the right time.
If he were a coaching genius it wouldn't have taken him 7/8 ths of a season to figure out he should be coaching his point guard to play like a point guard. In my opinion, if anything, this proves the guy is incompentent, not a genius..

Yeah, somehow my brain read "twerking" instead of "tweaking." Needless to say I was sorely disappointed.
