OT: Calgary Hitmen Teddy Bear Toss for Charity

Did anyone see video from the Calgary Hitmen "Teddy Bear Toss" for charity? It is an annual holiday event at the Hitmen hockey game. Teddy bears are thrown onto the ice after the first goal scored by the Hitmen (not sure what happens if they get shut out . . .) and all of the bears collected are given to the needed for the holidays. Pretty darn cool. Check out the YouTube video below:

I wonder if something like this could be done at Michigan? Probably not during a football game (if only because of the logistics of it) but maybe during a hockey or basketball game? The level of participation in Calgary is stunning!

Deker Blue Line Club (The Michigan Hockey Booster Club) does this every season. I was on the ice this year collecting bears. I ended up getting tagged in the butt several times by the student section.
