The following will take place in 2013-

Conference USA will expand to 14 by adding Florida International, Louisianna Tech, North Texas, UT-San Antonio (program begins this season), UNC-Charlotte (program begins in 2013) and Old Dominion (FCS School).

The Mountain West will expand to 10 by adding Utah State and San Jose State.

Texas State, who is a FCS school and originally headed for the WAC, will join the Sun Belt.

This seems to be the end of the WAC, since this would leave them with two members.

Dear Big East: Please put all your new toy football teams back where you found them and go away.  Sincerely, everyone who likes geographical sanity.

(let's face it: CUSA spanning from Norfolk to El Paso isn't exactly geographical sanity.  ODU is horribly out of place when they ought to be playing hoops with GMU, W&M, VCU, etc.)

I think that I read somewhere that the WAC will get the University Of Denver, Seattle University and UT - Arlington, but I don't think any of them field a football team, so it really does seem that it will be Idaho and NMSU going at it for nine weeks and a bye thrown in there.  The predicted cumulative in-conference record will be 2-16 (both teams going 1-8) with neither team going to a bowl.

Here is an interesting little note. App State is considering a jump to FBS. Only thing putting the jump off was what league they could/would eventually be in.

They now have two openings in the Sun Belt. If app moves to FBS by the time Michigan plays them in 2014, their payout is increased to $1 million.
