You would hope they would put up some warning signs a little further ahead than *right at* the buckled highway.  What do those big orange signs say?  Bump?

Two observations

1. What the F happened to the guy shooting the video right after the SUV went all Evil Kneviel?  Even though they had to be at least 100 yards or more away it looks like they fell over.

2. Could they shoot a more extreme close-up of the news chick reading the story?  God in heaven that was a tight shot.

For those of you who are local, I-275 at Ford Road in Canton actually has a smaller version of this issue going on right now, so be alert.

As for this video, I don't know if I want to see the bill for the failed portions of the suspension....or the frame, for that matter, as it looked that bad. Yikes. Still, I would love to hear the driver explain this to the staff at whatever shop this SUV eventually gets fixed.

Well according to this report, a woman who went over it says that caused an estimated $5K in damages to her car.

"To know that something like that could happen to you is unbelievable," Roach said. "When you see two bump signs, you think it will be a minor bump and it ended up being a three foot ramp."

She said she slowed to around 55 miles per hour when her Dodge Journey took off into the air from the buckled ramp.

This is a bit reminiscent of driving a compact car around north campus my freshman year and having a few close calls while going over that "speed hump" on Murfin.

Interesting video, but I wonder sometimes what leads someone to post it (and many of the other OTs) on a Michigan sports message board. Not bitching about it. Just wondering what makes one see something like that and think "MGoBlog must see this!"
