OT - Brutus the Buckeye experiences perfect form tackle
You have to give credit where credit is due, and the opening clip in today's yahoo sports minute sees a second mascot die in 3 days (after the masive myocardial infarction suffered by the giant Orange). Brutus gets absolutely rocked by OSU linebacker David Perkins. Poor kid in the mascot suit....not worth the schollie to take that hit!

Part of me wonders if Tom Herman came running out there to talk ball security with Brutus after that play. If nothing else, Urban Meyer apparently likes his mascots to be mobile and a threat to run as well.
Still not as good as the Bobcat hit.

Poor nut.
This is somewhat irrelevant - and this play against a mascot doesn't prove anything - but Perkins was a kid I really liked coming out of high school. The kid can really run. He played running back, too, but he was a little stiff and looked more like a linebacker.
I thought this was going to be about when the OHIO mascot tackled Brutus..I was prepared to ask what type of gigantic rock you've been under..
That linebacker is an idiot. Why on earth would one do that to some kid in a costume wearing no pads? And he led with his head, as well. Idiot. OH-!

That same defense held us to 21 points and scoreless in the 2nd half.
