OT: Bowl Practices if not in Bowl Game
Stewart Mandel has predicted that 71 teams will be bowl eligible and since there are only 70 spots (35 bowls) WMU will be left out.
Can WMU still have bowl practices if they are bowl eligible but not going to a bowl game?

No, if you dont make a bowl season is over....if an NFL team doesnt make the playoffs they dont continue practicing

Those 15 bowl practices are specifically in preparation for the bowl game. So no, a bowl eligible team would not get those practices if they did not make a bowl game.

Since we're on the sujbect of bowl practices, hopefully someone can settle a debate I am having with a co-worker. He says early enrollee players can partcipate in bowl practices but I thought I had read on here once before that they cannot practice. Does anyone have a definate answer on this?

I remember Kevin Grady practicing prior to the Rose Bowl as an EE.

Another example, although not an EE, is Kelly Baraka practicing before the bowl game even though he was suspended for the year.

I assumed as such, but its kind of tough for WMU who got bowl eligible but couldn't land a bowl
kind of arbitrary in the years when less than 70 teams qualify and a 5-7 team gets picked

which is too bad because if my memory serves me correctly I don't think WMU has ever won a bowl game..........EVER
