OT: The Blind Side II: TJ Peelers
"Peeler, a senior at Broad Run High School in Virginia, helped lead his undefeated team to the state championships for the second year in a row, and while Peeler left the game with a knee injury before his team clinched its second straight championship on Saturday, he was one of the main reasons his team was even there.
Next year, the 6-foot-1, 205 pound running back is heading to Pittsburgh to play football on a full scholarship.
But none of Peeler's accomplishments would have been possible if his school's basketball coach, John Costello and his wife JoAnne, hadn't helped rescue the young man from a life of instability and poverty by making the student a part of his family. Just call it another 'The Blind Side,' a movie about the real-life story of all-American football player Michael Oher, who was living on the streets when a family took him in."
Another great story about a good people willing to help a kid through rough times. Sounds like the kid has got his head on straight too, wanting to stay to get his education. Unfortunately, he blew out his ACL in the state championship game, but Pitt did the right thing and will honor his scholarship. I wish him the best of luck!
PS he is a 3* RB on Scout

Do you even know why they call it "The Blind Side"? It's because the LT, Michael Oher, protects the Quarterback's blind side.
P.S. Not trying to be mean just sayin'

just used it as a somewhat informative title, and they eluded to it in the original article

Oh, okay. Well I was just enlightening you if you didn't know.

Except Oher didn't do any type of athletics until late in high school, and was a 5 star recruit, one of the top left tackles in the country.

I'm fairly certain the Oher played sports before his junior/senior years of HS. The movie isn't exactly true to the book and his life.

Apparently a couple people totally misinterpreted the story. ^
Good story to hear, makes you wonder how many kids are out there like that.

I think Jeremy Maclin has a similar life story; moved in with white family, starred at Mizzou, drafted to the NFL.
