OT: Bill Snyder told to not wear old windbreakers

Submitted by B-Nut-GoBlue on

Sorry, I'm numb and not thinking nor discussing what I just watched.  Here's some funny news, though.

The Big XII has told Kansas State coach Bill Snyder he cannot wear older Bowl Game windbreakers.  Likely because some of the bowls are not tied-in with the conference anymore.  Many here have noticed and noted him wearig last year's Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl jacket on the sidelines this year.  No more, apparently.  If I were him, I'd tell them to shove it, "I'm Bill fucking Snyder".

Thats why it is cool when you reach a certain age.  You don't give a f****.  Bo at Nebraska seemed to have reached that age earlier than most guys i.e. usually it's near 80 years old.

The reason? The Big 12 no longer has contracts with some of those bowl games anymore, and others have changed names

I am almost certain other conferences would raise similar objections if coaches did something like this, but I suppose I can't fault Snyder for relishing some of the things he has done with a program that seemed to be almost chronically moribund before he arrived on the scene.

The problem is that the old wind breakers just didn't execute. They needed to do a better job preparing them for the sideline, and that's on everyone on the coaching staff.

Chances are, I suspect that there is nothing in any contracts regarding bowls attire that used to be Big 12 affiliated and approved to no longer being the case. I would tell them to go fuck themselves. Regardless, I like Bill Snyder.
