I feel pretty confidant, as someone who watched the game without a rooting interest, that had the Giants not got the 7 points off the muffed punt that they were not scoring the way the 49ers defense played the rest of the 2nd half+OT.
But you're entitled to your own opinion, and you're right, no one can know for a certainty.

Guess that dude forgot all the ball security drills he's done in the last 10 years of his life. It was awesome when he was trying to find a spot on the bench after his fumble, no one even looked at him! 100% job security with Southwest Airlines and their "Wanna get away?" commercials.

even if they weren't the very final play of the game. To lose/kick/muff the ball twice on "special" teams is just awful.
So, do the Harbaugh bros get a 3rd place consolation game in their dad's backyard?

He gave back momentum, twice. He totally blew it for his team. Kickers miss, FGs are never a sure thing.

the ball! Then yes, he gave, "momentum" back to them.

Watch out for that big Pine tree.

For all the reasons mentioned above.

Ted Ginn Jr. He apparently turns into a China doll whenever the word "championship" is tagged to a game, and his team has suffered greatly due to his absence on both occasions.

I bet Williams and Cundiff will be sharing a good stiff drink. Misery does not just love company, it loves miserable company.

Chicago White Sox GM's Son Kyle Williams. Fumbled the ball not once but twice. Both times led to Giants scores.
The first time led to a Giants TD. And the Niners were playing pretty well defensively up to that point. The second time was absolutely inexcusable. It cost the Niners the game.

Ozzie Guillen obviously put an awesome curse on that family on his way to Miami.

I put the blame on Cundiff and it isn't for the one missed field goal. The RAvens has a chance to kick a 51 yard field goal but wasn't condifeent in his leg to do so. Kickers should be able to make field goals of that length. That kick could have tied it. Plus he allowed NE to return all of his kickoffs because he doesnt have the leg to put it out of the endzone. The returns could fall on the return team as well though.
My prediction is he will not be around next year and neither should Cam Cameron. Terrible play caller. Not as much yesterday but over the year he has been very shaky.

They seemed to win a lot of games with that play calling, and that play calling was designed to run clock and help that defense. As long as Harbaugh is your coach, you have to figure that is the kind of offense he wants as this team's identity is to run the ball and play great defense.

The answer is....and always is Mark Dantonio. Wait, what? You said goat, I thought you said jackass. My bad.

Cundiff only because Williams was subbing for Ginn. An NFL kicker has to be able to make a field goal from the 15yl 100 times out of 100.

He had 2 fumbles and the muffed punt that he should have stayed away or picked the ball up off the bounce. But either way he cost his team 10 points and could have been worse had his team mates not recovered the other fumble!
He was carrying the ball loose all game long letting it get away from his body, really suprised harbaugh didn't eat him alive on the sidelines for that one.

I would not be surprised if the Ravens cut Cundiff today.

Billy cundiff kickers in general shouldn't miss 31 yard field goals and arington is a back up emergency return man
