OT The Big Unit retires
I am not sure if there are a lot of baseball fans that visit this board but I thought this deserved some run. Randy "The Big Unit" Johnson has decided to hang them up. I lived in Phoenix for his years with the D-Backs and attended the World Series game he pitched. I probably saw him take the hump a dozen times and the guy was unreal in his prime. Anyway, thought the greatest lefty of this generation deserved a shout out.

The classiest thing was that he was going to announce his retirement today, but once he learned it would be the same day as the Hall of Fame announcements, he moved his press conference up a day.

I can't figure out how to embed this but Johnson vs Kruk in the 93'All Star game was priceless.

It's too bad ESPN made Kruk chop off that mullet.
