The Big East football schedule was released today. If you haven't been following the musical chairs that is college football, Temple will replace West Virginia in the Big East this season.

That leaves the MAC with 13 teams (with Massachusetts effectively replacing Temple). Their schedule should be out later this week. For now, the non-conference slate of games for the MAC can be found here.

The team is supposed to be
The team is supposed to be much better next year. After 8-5 and winning a bowl in 2010, and starting 5-2 last year with an absolute beating of West Virginia, they lost their last five.
I'm cautiously optimistic. We'll have a senior QB, we were ravaged by injuries at the end of last year, we get our #1 receiver back, and we return most of the team, so we'll see.
Winning the N'western and Minnesota games are a must-have - that'd be 3-2 in non-conference if you assume losing to USC and @ Mizzou, so just 3-4 in-conference would do it.
Beating UConn, Temple, and Rutgers is key, no excuse for losing those games. Too many games were absolutely given away last year.

Syracuse wins for scheduling the toughest schedule: USC, Missouri, N'Western, and Minnesota and one cupcake.
Most other schools have 1-2 BCS games and then 2 MAC and 1-2 "Div 1-AA"
South Florida, however, has both FSU and MIami Fl. as their BCS games.

I've been to Champaign multiple times and my mother is an alumnus of Illinois. Never have I heard the term "Illinoius". Are you referring to the small segment of the population that pronounces the "s" in Illinois? If so, that's used by dumb people all over the country, not Illinois fans.

I see that Louisville and Kentucky get to square off in football this fall - that might still end up an 85-78-ish sort of game really.
As for the MAC schedule, I have to say that this is the first time that I have seen the University Of Tennessee at Martin on a Division I plate. Then again, it isn't every decade you play a team in the OVC.

The words Orange Bowl and Temple should never be in the same sentence. This is why we need a 16 Team playoff. I wouldn't have any problem giving the Big East Champ a shot but not the Orange Bowl under the current BCS system.
