Griese was pretty underrated IMO. Go back and watch some of the games from our perfect season - he played really well. And he had some good to great seasons in the NFL, too. Made the pro bowl one year and was doing very well with Tampa when he injured his knee. I also think the bears win the Super Bowl had they replaced Grossman with Griese the year they played the Colts.
And don't forget our D was pretty good that year, too. C. Woodson buys you a lot of room for error.

I was just thinking the other day, how weird is it that, with all the great, record-setting, etc. QBs we've had in the last two decades - Henne, Navarre, Brady, Henson (briefly), Grbac, Collins, and so on - Brian Griese is the one who lead us to a perfect season and National Championship?
