I bought the Mike Judge Collection and while the cartoon episodes aren't that funny anymore (were they ever? Besides a couple of classic episodes), the music video criticism is still highly enjoyable and in my opinion stands the test of time.

The big problem with bringing back the show is that teenage boys no longer can sit and watch music videos all day, MTV doesn't show them, also will they have new music videos to comment on? How many bands still make music videos? Will they start again just to be lampooned on B&B?

its not a diss when i come to realization that i no longer find something enjoyable. i am not speaking for everyone. i respect that you find Ed Kowalczyk and Co. amazing, but in terms of the grunge/post grunge era, they fall on my list of greats. but, thats just MY LIST. we can agree that 'livin' on a prayer' piped in to games is both awful and horrendous, no?

What a weird choice to bring back.  The characters will have to be different for the show to be relevant and funny again.   It was hilarious the first time because it was such a perfectly accurate portrayal of stupid anti-social teenage boys in the late '80s.  But it won't resonate now.

I absolutely loved that show when it aired originally. I'm a little skeptical how it will translate today. If they don't change anything, it may not make sense to a younger generation. Any changes to suit today's tastes may mess it up.

That said, Mike Judge is awesome. If anyone can make this work, he can.

Sure maybe B&B will have cell phones now and maybe they'll be youtubing videos instead of watching them on MTV but I think the humor will translate to today's audience.  The funniest part of the show to me was how they interacted with the adults in Highland and how clueless the adults were to what was going on.  That formula is timeless.

I thought this was going to be about Labadie and Draper...

Anyway, if the Simpsons can last 20 years, I don't see why B&B cannot be somewhat relevant. If anything, it will probably bring some of the now older crowd back to MTV that used to watch B&B.

If only they would bring back Daria.

That show was my entire education on how society should function.
