They did have to repour some of the concrete, but that's not really a big deal. The way our stadium is built into the ground it should be pretty easy to renovate for years to come. Someday the press boxes will have to be replaced, but we're talking tens of years of not a lot more. I kind of wonder what the future of Ohio Stadium will be since its all concrete and above ground. Even though it's our enemy's building, it is a very impressive and beautifully built structure (my construction engineering education is getting the best of me here).

I went there when we were at Pegula and was surprised how crappy their stadium looks. Reminded me of Virginia Tech's too. Just a mess of steel on the outside. Looks awful

I suppose I'm spoiled by Michigan Stadium. I just expect all these stadiums to look as beautiful on the outside as the do on the inside. But then again, there's nothing like the Big House

I've never been there, so cannot speak about experience. I do like their stadium, though. The white out looks awesome, especially for night games. I wonder if they will build a completely new stadium or just renovate; I'm assuming the latter.

It looks like a cheap, huge, COLLEGE football stadium. It's awesome that Michigan's endowment and donors and revenue allows for the Big House but I don't think every major college program needs some fancy pro-caliber stadium. Penn State is a solid state school for middle class kids. Burning a billion dollars on a new stadium, when the current one seems to do the job just fine, seems really absurd. Especially when you consider how many middle class families are drowning in student debt right now. Terrible optics.

If they build new, the state will refuse to pick up any of the bill for a state college stadium, but if the steelers need a replacement for Heinz, they'll fall all over themselves to build a private one on public money.

The endzone seats look so out of place. It's like they added them just because they could. The stadium needs some major updates, but at this point they might as well build new.
