You can probably take "media" out of there, now for both of them.

But it's funny you should bring up Paris in a game with the Bears, consider who she's dated...

I'm up 1 pt in fantasy and he only has Matt Forte left to play. This doesn't bode well for me unless he doesn't play, or has his worst game of the season.

The Cyberdemons (11-3) were down 1.8 points to the opposition in the first round of the playoffs. However, with AP yet to play and my opponent all out, it was all in the bag, right?

Until AP was declared out for the game and Gerhart was placed on waivers yesterday...

Anyone else had their fantasy soul dong crushed recently?

Eh, I annihilated my league in the regular season (12-1, about 300 more points than anyone else) and lost in the first round due to any one of Aaron Rodgers getting hurt and missing half the game, Jennings dropping that bomb from Rodgers, or Santonio Holmes dropping an easy TD catch -- I lost by 3 to a team with a losing record in the regular season (16 team league, 8 in the playoffs). Still would have won if I had realized Delhomme was starting for the Browns and thus benched their TE in favor of the other one I have.

Of course, without Rodgers and with Arian Foster's lousy performance this week I would have lost in the semis anyway, so oh well.

Home Field Advantage.

Used to be great to watch all those Southern teams come in for a playoff game, freezing their asses off, while the Vikes wore short sleeves. The Dome has made them soft. (Boo to the Lions too). There's a reason playoff games are a nightmare in Green Bay, Buffalo (kiddies, they used to go a lot), and now New England.

And -1 is tanning weather for the people I used to know in Minnesota. If there's not 6 feet of snow, they don't even notice it. ;-)

I felt the tongue firmly planted in cheek

As for the playoffs, do you mean the Lions or Bills? Growing up in Michigan, we all took other teams, and I liked the Vikes, but now really root for teams with Michigan players (and the current Lions regime is the first I don't think is laughable...maybe in MY lifetime). But for the Lions, they used to regularly alternate years. Be good, make the playoffs, get the tougher schedule, miss the playoffs, get the easier schedule, lather, rinse, repeat. They just never WON in the playoffs (but that one game). They were called the Wayne Fontes years. It wasn't till the Millen years that they became know for being putrid. They used to be know more for bring puzzling than bad. Like in current terms, they would have beat anew England on Thanksgiving, but lost to the Panthers the next week. Before the dark times. Before the Empire.

The Bills...well, it's been awhile since they used bringing the Oilers, Dolphins, Raiders to Buffalo and riding the icy cold to 4 straight Super Bowls, but it happened. ;-)

There is nothing I hate more than listening to Jaws and Gruden out do each other in dopey comments that make me want to stick a buckeye nut in my ear (no homo). They sound like the same exact person and therefore I hate them both equally.

Luckily, the TV gods invented the mute button. I'll be listening to the Sam Spence NFL films soundtrack instead, I advise you all to do the same.

Watching the football game, it's not all bad (people or otherwise).

Though really, nothing to feel guilty about, because we all knew he'd find a way to punk out of any upcoming extension.

What was I saying...I just got distracted by Brooke Burke on a trampoline on the tv....

Did they mic the ever-loving hell out of the stadium or what? I watched the Minny-Iowa game a few weeks ago and it was nowhere near as loud as this. I mean, it's not even possible for the stadium to be this loud, since you can hear a ton of cheering when the Vikings are on offense.

I like seeing the big-dollar doughy fat pros freeze their lard butts off and play a REAL football game for the 1st time in 30 years.

No domes, no heated fields, no deluxe homefield spa lockeroom - welcome back to real football boys.
