who actually dislikes Indiana more than Ohio State in basketball? I don't like Crean and find their fans to be horribly annoying.

Lifelong UM fan living in southern Indiana. Indiana sports fans (all inclusive, IU, ND etc.) are hands down the most irrational, emotional and loud mouthed jackasses in the great wide world of sports. I'd have a beer with an Ohio football fan over ever having to talk to a Indiana basketball fan. We have had it nice the last few years, but since the win over UK, they've taken irrational arrogance to a new level.

So in short, you are not alone.

In all fairness, I've heard that before, too.

with all due respect you have obviously neve lived in ohio, i can't imagine there being a more irritating, irrational fan base than ohio, it's just not possible.

Penn State fans are flat out scary. After Paterno was fired, there were multiple threads praising the students for rioting.

Living in Ohio my whole life i agree Ohio fans are the worst. Especially in small towns that are strictly Ohio fans. They have no understanding of how arrogant they are and during the start of the NCAA investigation were ruthless towards me about how we cheated...only if I still lived down there. Just in case you are wondering, I lived in bowling green for 4 1/2 years during undergrad.

I live in southern indiana as well, and I must say that UK fans had grown so annoying in past couple of years that we were actually very glad that IU beat UK and shut those fools up. There haven't been too many people in office in past couple of weeks, so not much boasting / screeching from either side.. will be an interesting first week of January at work

I don't actually know any indiana basketball fans but i'm honestly just glad ohio isn't going to just run train on the big ten all year, keep the big ten race exciting and us in it maybe.

Indianapolis here. I'll be heading down and crashing at a buddy's place who lives down there. At this point I think your best bet is to "stub hub it" even though that can suck. Hoosier fans are down right insane about the team so tickets are hard to come by.
January 1st, 2012 at 12:34 PM ^
Ticketsnow shows Section M with 11 available at $42 a piece, and then in DD row 2.
Don't want to be stuck with bunch of Hoosiers all around me.. where are most of the Michigan fans going to be at?

the Indianapolis gang's all here in this thread.
