OT: Bachelor party ideas

Okay MGoBloggers,

I need your help...I'm getting married in three weeks in Omaha, NE (my fiancee's home town, also the home of the College World Series), and since neither I nor none of my groomsmen are coming from remotely close to the area, I need to help out with the planning of a bachelor party of sorts...

Now, I assume not that many of you have actually been to the booming metropolis of Omaha, so I won't expect any Omaha-specific suggestions, but I wondered if you guys could offer up some bachelor party suggestions...a few stipulations:

1)  My fiancee's brother will be there, and he is only 17 (though due to his upbringing not likely to slip roofies into our drinks, a la The Hangover), plus my brothers which are 18, 18 and 20 so that rules out any over-21 exclusive places...

2) I'm not into strippers or strip-clubs or any of that type of thing...I love having fun, but the cleaner the better for me...

And yes, there can and should be U-M elements to this, I'm an alum, my three brothers are all undergrads now, six out my eight groomsmen are U-M alums, and just about every guy coming to the bachelor party is as well...

Thanks for the suggestions!

Where's King of Belch when you need him? He was the native Omahan (Omaha-ite?). Oh well. Good luck.

Have everyone predict the depth chart for the season opener and also the final score to each game this season with a short paragraph about how the game will play out.  Then have everyone post the depth charts and season projections on MGoBlog for discussion.

Bachelor Party

First congratulations, I just had my Derby bachelor and had a great time. I understand the no strippers, not my thing either.

One idea that my best man suggested that would have been fun was paintball. After a quick google search I found a place called husker paintball in that area; looks like they they do group events and you can grill, bring drinks, and what not.  Good luck!

Good idea

I have a slight adaptation: urban paintball in ninja costumes. Just get absolutely trashed and take on the city of Omaha.

Men and women: 1 point each

Men and women in dress attire: 2 points each

Cops: 10 points

And since it is a bachelor's party, you can always throw in something like adding additional 5 points for direct hits to the boobular region for women.

Golf

Its the only thing left, really. The over-21 crowd can drink up, while the under-21 crowd enjoys the sodas.

Also, there's a casino on the river in Omaha (I know this from the one-and-only time I went to Omaha). Take the kids home around 10 PM, and head on over with your groomsmen. There's nothing wrong with doing that.

I went to a Tiger's game for my bachelor party - pretty sweet.  Strippers aren't my thing either, plus I didn't want to witness my father getting a lap dance.  Golf is a good idea for the all ages crowd.

I think the best thing to do, though, would be to hop in the car, drive the hour to Lincoln, and have a little conversation with Tom Osborne about joining the Big Ten - make sure you have U of M gear on.  In the process,  you can steal the 1997 championship back.

Strip Clubs

This might sound tacky/trashy, but I don't understand men who aren't in to strip clubs. I mean, I understand religion and respecting women and shit, but strip clubs are awesome. I love going to the strip club.

Not criticizing, but just saying, man...have u ever been to one? Even when you are getting consistent lovin' at home from a fine lady, they still excite.

I love Gentlemen's Clubs.

As someone who has never been to a strip club
And doesn't like them let me answer: 1. For me it's not about religion or respecting women ( although those are also true well not religion) 2. It's that strip clubs are a dick tease. All that you get from a strip club is blue balls and you spend tons of money 3. If I'm single I'd rather go to a bar buy tons of girls drinks (which is stupid anyways) and try to take them home where I could actually do stuff with them than blow my money at a strip club 4. Not that I endorse it, but...

If you are spending big money at a place like that and you walk out with blue balls you are either in the wrong club, dealing with the wrong girl, or you are just plain clueless.

But not 100% legal here

The FBI DOES investigate and prosecute when people travel to another country with the sole intention of breaking US law.

I'm not a big fan of strippers

I'm not against strip clubs, and I'll definitely go to one if I'm out and the rest of my group decides to go to one, but I'm not a big fan.  I always think about how the strippers are only acting interested in me because they want my money and that's a huge turnoff.

Lincoln...

I used to live in Nebraska, Omaha is analogous to Detroit (without Pro Sports or Nice Suburbs). I would suggest heading to Lincoln (college town, capital). The two cities are about 40 miles apart, so it would be easy enough to arrange transportation to Lincoln and find some bars or something to do...

Omaha is like NYC

compared to Sioux City, where I had to spend a summer.  I'm sure you'll be able to find something to do.  Maybe there's a minor league baseball game?

If you are into watersports and have a place to do it this is pretty awesome. This is video from my buddy's fourth annual bachelor party at his cottage.

I went to a bachelor party w/. whirley ball once and couldn't agree more.  You can drink and drive (bumper cars), talk trash, and it's friendly for the underage contingent, too.

For the uninitiated, this is whirley ball:

Play some football under the lights. I think Omaha has some lighted fields to play at.  After the game watch some classic UM games at a Brother-in-Laws house or one of her relatives in Omaha and drink beer, margaritas and a few shots.
