It is Les Miles....

Why? It seems that is not a good move for Les.
Go Blue
If Arkansas can lure Les Miles and Sailboat couldn't, I quit.

L-O-L. What are they offering? A buffet of grass?
And stay. It's not the first time he's been floated for another job and turned it into more money from LSU.
"Over? Did you say, over? Nothing is over until we decide it is!"
But if I'm LSU, this is an easy bluff to call.

Representatives for Mr. Miles have made an official statement to the public:

i wonder if Herbstreet will announce this before he is ready and screw the whole thing up

Just hung up with George Bass, Miles' agent, on Ark rumor: "There's nothing like that going on."
For another pay raise.
Those Who Blog, Will Be Champions
Les will at best act interested to get a pay raise
He ain't going anywhere....tommrow LSU will anouncr a 5 year 30million dollar extension for Les

Jeff Long and Miles are buddies from their Michigan connection. There's nothing in that tweet that mentions anything even close to Miles actually considering this. Just that Long called up his buddy, told him he'd get a raise...and Les probably laughed his ass off and hung up the phone.
His agent must drum up offers every 2 years to get him a raise at LSU.
If he didn't want to re-start the program at UM because he preferred the easier route with his loaded program at LSU, he isn't going to Ark.

I suspect delusional Arkansas thinking, or just Internets rumor-mongering, on this one.
Missing Ann Arbor
that's completely realistic! but if things don't pan out with miles, perhaps they should go after bear bryant. or bill cowher. or maybe a robot that's a combination of don shula, chip kelly, vince lombardi and bill parcells.
Michigan never offered Les and it was rumored that he would love the opportunity to coach his alma mater.
Hail to the Victors!
Have we seen Sam Walton's plane in Baton Rouge?
Doesn't Les have an escalator clause in his contract to keep him in the top 3 highest paid coaches anyway?
Well, this adds an interesting angle to my observation last week that Lesticles is a cross between Bo and John L. Smith. Maybe Arky's AD said, "Hey, we want another guy who's stranger than nine kinds of hell, but this time we want one who wins."
they think they can just pull anyone in with enough money despite the historical mediocrity of the program and the relatively infertile recruiting grounds of Arkansas.

Good luck with that guys...
I would call Arkansas a "sleeping giant," but they're more like a "tall guy who dozes off too much."
history with Bo and Les at UM. Maybe just another courtesy chat for a few hours like Brandon two years ago ....

As long as Jeff Long stays the hell away from his high school friend turned D-I football coach with whom he also has Bo-Michigan ties with...
From an Auburn fansite admittedly, but still succinct and to the point:
"Les Miles may not be very smart but even he is not that stupid."
In any case, LSU's sports information director reported a while ago that Les has been informed of the tweet and has nothing to say. As for myself, I think we would have officially seen it all if this were in fact the case - it wouldn't make much sense for a 59 year-old Les Miles to make such a move now, especially to a program in a state of flux. Nice try, Sports By Brooks.

"LSU's sports information director reported a while ago that Les has been informed of the tweet and has nothing to say."
Well if he is aware of the tweet and didn't respond, it is clearly not happening.
Gotta love the meaningless PR babble. Not to say I think it will happen.
Not real until the first invocation of FlightAware and/or first television interview with a Baton Rouge waiter.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I just destroyed that toilet with a huge Rosenberg.
Gary Moeller is sitting front row right now at the UM vs NC State B-Ball game.....
CJK5H - allegedly....
If Miles didn't leave LSU for his alma mater, why on Earth would he ever leave to go to a second-tier SEC school?
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
He was never actually offered the job here...
Class of '97. Missed it by that much.
I thought Gruden was a lock for the Arkansas job? /s
ESPN guys just reported on it after the b-ball game.
Greetings from Bolivia.
