When Bielema left Wisconsin in a highly questionable move, his one stated reason was that he was tired of losing his assistant coaches because Wisconsin was unwilling to invest to compete.  The implication was that Arkansas in the Mighty SEC West was up to the task.

Apparently, either Arkansas isn't willing to pay to play, losing out to a lowly ACC school, or Bret has personality issues and people just don't want to work with him.

They play games against other Big Ten schools and we're scheduling home-and-homes with other Big Five teams.  It would be the shortest road trip meeting that criteria unless you want to count Cincinnati, which I wouldn't (40,000-seat stadium).  If we're going to recruit in Pennsylvania, let's do it.

Like we need MORE exposure in PA?

If you want to get recruiting exposure, go play at Florida, Georgia, LSU, USC/UCLA, etc.  There is more in it for us than those schools (read: none of them really think of MI as fertile recruiting grounds, other than USC perhaps -- isn't RoJo supposed to sign with them).

That was a big rivalry game.  Pitt was PSU's archrival and they really haven't replaced them on their schedule. MSU and the Land Grant Trophy is a poor substitute.

Meanwhile, losing the PSU series is one reason why Pitt's attendance has cratered.  Playing in an off-campus NFL stadium is another.

Pitt also does not have on campus housing for their students. They live off campus Students usually make up at least 25 percent of the crowd. Unless Pitt is 7-0 playing FSU I can't imagine that many students ever showing up to a game
