Hello everyone Durrel (Denards brother) and I were sitting here thinking that we never been snow mobiling because we are from Florida. We were wondering if anyone would be interested or where to go. On my phone so here's a link to a picture because it wont let me put it direct. http://i.imgur.com/ZAqteGh.jpg Happy New Year Vincent and Durrel

Go to munising. It's centrally located in the UP so you can go any which direction. Make sure you call to book a room for the dates you want they book up fast once snow hits.

just wanted to say it was great talking to you at Ashley's. I am in for the canoeing that didn't happen from Kickstarter in the past if you plan another.

If you go, please pay attention to instruction if you're not really familiar with snowmobiles, and be careful on the trails at night - a lot of the snowmobilers spend a lot of time in the evening in the bars then decide to hot rod around.  I worked on an ambulance corps in Grand Marais for 9 years, and our snowmobile runs were always pretty heavy-duty.  Not a lot of protection when you get hit at 80 mph by a drunk idiot.  It can be a fun sport but like most it needs to be respected and approached with some degree of discipline.

If you are in the UP the weekend of the 10th you should take in the dog sled races at Muskellonge Lake north of Newberry.  A complete blast.  They cross the snowmobile trail between Newberry and Grand Marais in two places so you can get some good views of some of the best dog sled teams in the midwest.

If you guys come up the UP i am down to hang! Munising is a great place to snowmobile, and theres a lot of other awesome things to do. I havent snowmobiled myself but theres a lot of great winter things to do. Snowshoeing, downhill tubing, Skiing, snowboarding. I just got a bike for mountain biking during the winter. Thats what I did today and it was a blast http://imgur.com/tzPo5dJ I am in Marquette about 45 minutes west of munising and right by Negaunee where Red Lee is. If you guys do head up this way I would love to at least take you out for some dinner and drinks

That bike is dope!!!!   You ride in the snow on that?  I just got into biking this fall and I cant wait for it to warm up again and get on the bike again hopefully one with the fat tires.  If we make it up we can meet up.  We are thinking to do fun new things with everyone and that would want to participate.

Dope for sure. I just got it so I've been riding it around. There are tons of groomed trails that go through the woods and packed snow. It's fun but tiring!

I love your positive attitude and all of the opportunities you give back to fans while getting at your own life goals. Go Blue!

Depending on what you are looking for, tons of options closer to AA than the UP. You could go to NW lower Mi to get a taste of what its like before going to the UP. It all depends on snow conditions of course. Tons of fun, but going with someone with experiance would help. If you are looking for a day trip VS a few days , it may be a better option. We get a lot of lake effect on the west side , & predicting  a lot of it within the next week. I have 5 sleds & all the gear if your interested. Always love introducing the sport to newbies. Sleds , gear and cabin located approx 1.45 hours north of Grand Rapids.

stop by the farm if/when you come up since you will be just a few minutes away.   you can warm up with a 'chess challenge', and i think we can probably load you guys up with some hot chocolate.  good sledding here too, and it looks like God's snow machine is kicking in today and will be going the next week at least.
