OT-Any LOST Fans?

Submitted by The Shredder on
Lost for me has become maybe my favorite tv show of all time. It's just a awesome giant long saga of great sci-fi and good writing. The acting is good 90% of the time. So far this season has been great. The only thing I haven't liked is that there are a lot of main characters who have nothing to do. They are just sitting in their respective camps waiting for the man in black and Jacob to have it out. The best one of the season was Richard's story on how he ended up on the island. It may have been the best one ever, a top 3 for sure. So any fans? I will be watching tonight with my wife like always and eating the same Lost dinner. Tonight should be good since I expect it to be centered around Desmond, one of my favorite characters. Plus he has all the time travel story lines which I like. Lost is like chicken, if you don't like it there is something wrong with you.

All I know is that my boy Sayid hasn't been the same since he came back to life. That dude is seriously evil. I feel like he's gonna take over for the man in black if he gets killed, and Jack is gonna be the new Jacob. Then those two are gonna spend eternity doin battle on the island...

except for Claire's Amazon Perm Fro hair. I am so done with it. They have her face pounded with makeup and than that bird nest. Just give EVIL CLAIRE a bath.

We got into it during Season 3, watching the first two seasons almost all at once and catching up quickly. It's kinda funny, but for the character background you could almost entirely skip season 2 because they eventually killed off almost all the "Tailies." But then again, it seems like no one ever really dies on this series, even the ones who started off dead. There was a bit too much treading water in seasons 4 and 5, and now they are coming to a denouement pretty quickly. Nice to have the old Sawyer back though, he and Hurley were my favorite original characters (followed closely by Miles, who gets all the other best one-liners). And is there ever an episode where Michael Emerson (Ben Linus) isn't getting the crap kicked out of him? Just as long as the screen doesn't suddenly go black at the end....

going on abc.com and re-watching as many of the first seasons episodes as you can. Unbelievable to watch those episodes and catch some things that seemed meaningless at the time. For instance, anyone remember what Jack found in the pockets of Adam and Eve when the skeletons were first found in the caves in season 1? I totally forgot until I watched the episode again a couple weeks ago.

What did he find? I always have thought that Adam and Eve was someone from the island. Maybe Jack and Kate? Then a few episodes ago Hurley hinted at that when they went back to that cave. He said "What if we time travel again, back to the dino times and die there and this is one of us". I think that's a huge hint.

I was at the mall this weekend doing some clothing shopping, and I happened across a vintage TMNT shirt. I didn't get it, as it really isn't my style, but I turned to my Fiance and said..."The Shredder would love this shirt." She was like "huh?" and then I said, "oh, nothing". Just another instance of MGoBlog creeping into my daily life.

show that has warranted a second watch. There are so many things that I see the second time I am amazed of the intricacy of it. My brother always made fun of my Lost addiction until he watched the show and two weeks later he was hooked. Amazing show.

At this point I feel like they are simply messing with me. I was a big fan, but I am starting to regret the addiction. I was expecting that this season would have multiple moments, every episode, where I'd say "Aha, so that's why that was!" And something I'd been puzzling over for seasons would be clear(er). There's been too little of that; I'm getting new "WTF?" each week. I grow increasingly suspicious that the last episode is going to be a Bob Newhart finish while the producers pee themselves laughing.

LOST is the most addictive show of all time. If you start watching, you can't stop. I'm glad to see Desmond is finally back, which is awesome. He's my favorite character. I do agree that Richard's episode was this season's best. This season has gone by very quickly, but we still have half of the season left. The finale is going to be a very sad night.

Great episode tonight! Gotta love Desmond. I think Desmond is connected to the side flash now. What will he do or what does that mean.. I am not sure. Anyone get anything out of that episode?

Desmond-centric episodes are amazing (The Constant being my favorite to date). Also, Desmond passing out while talking to Penny just like he would during The Constant. But apart from the Desmond focus, this is the first episode that tied the sideways storyline to the islan storyline. Eloise acting the way she did th first time she and Desmond met; Daniel Faraday not wanting to set off a nuclear bomb but thinking he already did (and talking about seeing Charlotte from a distance); Charlie and Desmod together again "feeling" things; "Not Penny's Boat". There is no question that Juliet's comment in LAX part 1, "it worked", was accurate. The bomb has been set off and an alternate timeline in 1977 was set. The way I see things now, the alternate timeline is the true post-Dharma initiative timeline and the island is in limbo...a place where those on it are separated from the normal ebb and flow of time. That is until something drastic is done to set one timeline as the only timeline. Better than the Richard Alpert back story by a million and that was a great episode. Hurley-centric episode next...can't wait.

I love the show to death. I started watching last year. I had it easy, especially compared to those watching it from the beginning. I only had to wait about 2 seconds between the end of the 1st season (possibly the most exciting cliffhanger of all time) and the beginning of the second. And I thought that the 8 months after Juliet and the bomb was a tough wait!

It seems they are trying to justify the past few seasons, with the time travel and whatnot, not the actual show from season one. I was hoping this season would tie everything together... It really hasn't, and with only a few more episodes, I'm guessing it won't. I still like it though.
