Remember we had it last year.

There was some kind of comment a week or two ago during a weekly presser with Hackett where he said we were willing but for unstated reasons the two sides couldn't make it work.

That said (shameless plug coming).......if any of you need your soccer fix, come down to Detroit City Football Club's UofM Day on June 28th. Its only $13 a ticket and $5 of the ticket is kicked back to a UM Scholarship for UM students who either have cancer or whose direct family members do. Here's the link to buy tix:

I don't think it was a snub.  Didn't Hackett say that both parties were interested but they couldn't work out a good date and have the field ready for the game against Oregon State?

Once a year might be too much, though I really did enjoy the game match.  Perhaps every other year?

I don't think the issue is that the field wouldn't be ready for the first home game. It's the second week of the season, whereas they had it ready for week one last year. My guess is that Harbaugh wants to be able to practice in the stadium as much as possible and having the soccer game would mess with that.

from the Daily, April 16th: "Despite mutual interest, the International Champions Cup won’t be returning to Michigan Stadium this summer, Athletic Director Jim Hackett told the Daily.

Hackett confirmed he had been in conversations with tournament organizers as recently as last week about using the Big House as a venue, but scheduling issues proved too difficult to overcome.

“We wanted to make it happen,” Hackett said Wednesday night.

Hackett cited a desire to have Michigan Stadium ready for the football team’s Sept. 12 home opener against Oregon State."
