I know some of you only care about those who stay but I randomly ran over an article about Mister Simpson who well all loved mainly because of his awesome name- for those of you that don't remember, he played on the team back in 05/06 and the transferred to Cincinatti after a couple of years but then was ruled academically ineligible. He got in trouble for stealing firearms/night-vision googles; looks like someone was tired of playing call of duty on ps3 and needed some real action

A former Colerain High School football star has been arrested on allegations of burglary. Mister Simpson, 23, of Mount Airy is accused is stealing four firearms and a pair of night-vision goggles from a home in Green Township on Jan. 1.

He was arrested in Colerain Township on Wednesday when a car he was riding in was stopped and police say they found the weapons in the trunk and a shotgun shell inside Simpson’s left coat pocket. Police say he confessed to the crime.

Bond was set at $5,000 on Thursday when he made his first appearance in a courtroom at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

In 2008, Simpson was arrested with former Colerain teammate, Terrill Byrd, an All-American defensive tackle, on drug abuse charges. Simpson was cited and paid a fine.

Simpson was a top-rated senior recruit running back on the Cardinals 2004 state title team. He signed with Michigan after high school but was red-shirted in 2005.

His prospects of playing for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats were dashed a few years later when he learned that he was academically ineligible to play football.
