Per a Tweet from SportsCenter.

Galarraga last night and now this... come on.  Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he's ready for England. I can't imagine he'll play this Saturday.

Per Ives:  X-rays are negative, and Jozy is day-to-day.  Deep breath goes here.

Also, what does it say about us as a fanbase that "everybody relax" autocompleted for me?

I actually think this is an injury the team can handle, although obviously it's not an ideal situation to lose the only remaining mainstay at striker.  Jozy and Dempsey didn't look like they played too well together up top, but Dempsey plus a speedier guy (Findley?) up top with Holden taking Dempsey's spot on the wing could work out just fine.

Still, I hope Jozy's fine and ready to go a week from Saturday.

Not actually hospitalized:

U.S. Men's National Team forward Jozy Altidore sat out training today after incurring a mild right ankle sprain during Wednesday’s practice. Altidore’s status is considered day-to-day, and he will undergo a fitness test Friday to determine his availability for the June 5 friendly against Australia.

The U.S. Men's National Team has been drawn into Group C with England, Slovenia and Algeria for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The U.S. will open its sixth consecutive World Cup finals tournament against England on June 12 in Rustenburg, and will follow that game with matches against Slovenia on June 18 in Johannesburg and Algeria on June 23 in Tshwane/Pretoria.
