OT: Per Ace's twitter, Anzalone to Ohio
They played without some of their best players who were suspended for many of those losses and did not have the sense to start Braxton Miller until it was too late. If they had Terrelle Pryor, Mike Adams, Dan Herron, & Devier Posey for the entire season, they finish near or at the top of the B1G.
Take away Denard Robinson, Taylor Lewan, Fitz Toussaint, and Junior Hemingway, and what would have our record been last year? Recruiting isn't everything, but it has become a pretty solid indicator of team performance.
Urban Frank Meyer, III has grossly misshapen genetalia. That is all.

Ohio is going to get their share of highly ranked players. However, if (or when) Levenberry commits on Tuesday, I think UM's LB class will be one of the best in the nation (and if you include the 2012 class UM might have THE best haul of LBs over the past 2 years). Now it's just a matter of whom coaches them up the best...I like our chances with Mattison and Hoke.
it is not likely that he commits to Michigan on Tuesday.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.
Insider info?
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
but neither Rivals (both local and national) nor Scout guys think Levenberry is headed our way.

Didn't they also think that Garnett was heading to Michigan? I don't think they're dining with the Levenberry's every night. I'm holding out hope until Tuesday.

neither Rivals nor Scout thought Garnett was coming to Michigan.
I didn't say it's completely hopeless on Levenberry, but I can't remember the last football recruit both sites were pessimistic on who committed to Michigan (Carlos Brown maybe?).

While I would never guarantee anything when it comes to recruiting, Mike Farrell has stated that he is "not as confident" as he once was and it is a coin toss. Also from ESPN, there are writers saying that they like the odds of Michigan getting good news.
My feeling is this....why would Levenberry move up his recruiting from Signing Day to August to now late April if it was not due to scholarship availability? Florida St last time I checked only had 1 LB commit out of a class of 8 (so far). It would seem to me that they have a 12-16 scholarships left and are not in danger of "filling up" at the postition (ONLY took 2 LB's last year).
Therefore, my theory is Coach Hoke at the spring game told EJ: Listen we want you, but we need you to make up your mind because we are ready to close down LB recruiting as we either want YOU or NOBODY! The negative side of why he moved up the date is that from what I have read EJ's father REALLY respects Coach Hoke and therefore may not want his son "stringing" Michigan along if he already knows that FSU is choice.
Either way...whether EJ commits or he doesn't our LB depth looks to be in good shape. While missing out on him might "tick" some fans off for telling other highly recruited LBs to not even visit, I feel that the last 6-7 recruits in this class are all going to make us happy (whomever they may be)!
Thats a BIG 'if', dont know about Levenberry but I hope your right homes.

Over the next decade I believe that Michigan will have the best defense in the big ten and Ohio will have the best offense.

With each passing day, I think Michigan has better chances with Levenberry. I'd be disappointed if he didn't commit here, but it won't really matter because our LB haul in the last two years.

This is going to be just like old times, the kind of fierce competition that earned our rivalry the top ranking in all of sport.
Pretty shrewd of Meyer to get the Anzolone commit before Levenberry announces Tuesday.
"This is Michigan."

Very insightful.
Urban: Ok, Joey, now you're gonna hold off on committing and say we're in your top two with Michigan. And Alex, you're gonna commit now so we can say we didn't want Levenberry when they get him. Small victories boys, small victories. We have to make it look like Hoke isn't kicking my ass head to head. Oh yeah, Alex, Hoke never pulled your offer either.

Man, Michigan and OSU are gonna have some battles for the next few years.
GOD I HATE OHIO!!! Makes me sick to read this crap. I couldn't even make it to the bathroom before I took a dump after reading this horse manure!! PLEASE God let us finish strong!!

Sigh. I remember what it was like to be 12 years old…
You know how some people on here like to go onto 11W and RCMB to revel in the schadenfreude? Well it's not a stretch to think the Ohio fans will come here as well. You're making their good day better. Don't.

I agree. Everyone is acting like bitches in here.
It's a damn shame that we didn't get a commitment from a guy that we once offerred but stopped recruiting because two other guys our coaches liked an equal amount, if not more, jumped on board first.
Special Teams means special times!
And hopefully will get who we want. Good luck to him, except against us.

I'm so happy Hoke and co set a high standard for toughness and character. I wish anzalone all the best, but I hope his character will be enough to withstand the negative elements that Urban permitted while at Florida.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
Maybe they think that, but it's still a 50-50 shot. It's not like a 5 percent shot he comes here.

If it makes anyone feel any better, the other LB that buckeye fans were counting on for this class canceled his visit to ohio's spring game. Courtney Love... 3* LB out of Ohio is now felt to be a Nebraska lock. This would be a pretty big recruiting loss for Meyer as they were going after this guy hard. Of course, now the talk has turned to flipping McCray to fill their other LB spot.
Some more swings and misses for Meyer this weekend... there were high hopes for a commit from OG Marcell Lazard who, like Love, was felt to be a buckeye lean. Well, he just commited to WVU. Of course, suddenly he went from being a "lean" to having a "non-commitable offer." Miraculous!
There wasn't as much buzz about 4* OT John Montelus, but he did have a Meyer offer, and now that he commited to ND today, fans are getting a little unsettled about their 2013 OL prospects.
McCray you mean the LB that Urban Meyer didn't want?

Good luck to him, he's a good player and has a good coach. His coach is slime but the fan base only cares about wins so he'll be around for a bit.
Looks like Ohio isnt the only ones getting recruits. Nebraska just got a verbal Love a 4* LB from Ohio. Damn we could use some good news on Tuesday Mr. Levenberry.

This is what happens with our class filling up this early, we're going to have to hear about our rivals getting big time recruits while we have little to no news. It'll be alright when we're beating them on the field.

We went 11-2 last year. OSU went 6-7. They must have really been kicking our ass on the recruiting trail to end up with those results.
It is spelled HOKEAMANIA. Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
