OT: 5 Bizarre Brain Hacks That Make You Better at Sports

Submitted by umjgheitma on

Knew a lot of you out there play sports and thus a few things on here might help. However, I did feel the need to post this because of reason #4: Wearing Red. Studies show whomever is wearing red in a sporting event is more likely to win. Looking at the college and pro landscape of sports, do you find this to be true?

That showed that officials tend to slant their calls in favor of teams wearing red.  IIRC, this was found across sports and studied with participants in blue uniforms in competition with participants in red uniforms.

So red makes you win? Why is the Big Ten such a pisspoor football league these days?

1) Ohio State

2) Wisconsin

3) Indiana

4) Nebraska

5) Minnesota(Ish)

We have 5 teams right there that should be clobbering LSU, Texas, Florida, etc.

...you can't fight science.  Probably Michigan should get some red uniformz for their next big game.

The game has passed me by.  Guess I should start waving a white flag and go home.

Well I know one person who wears red who has won a lot .... Tiger Woods (I mean he hasn't won recently, but you know, in general). Wears it every single Sunday.

I still however don't ever wear it myself. Never will
