The lions are killing themselves. I cant stand watching how undisciplined these lions are. They have a chance to beat the saints but they kill themselves with stupid penalties

This team is showing every sign of a young team that they possibly can. Idiotic decisions, slow starts, too emotional, and don't know how to win yet.

A blocked field goal where the defender was 3 feet offside, and a missed 55 yarder. Tough to grade Hanson on those.

I'm more unhappy with Titus Young costing us a TD when we had the ball on the 3 because he had to slap someone with the referee in the way. That cost us 4 points right there.

I love how you say "bad boys don't win in the NFL" like it is some time-tested statement. In fact, it is a very new phenomenon. Bad boys don't win in Goodell's pussified NFL, which has only been in existence a couple years now.

Well, they're also down something like 4-5 starters and 2-3 backups on d, as well. Do that to the ravens and they'll be struggling.

The undisciplined idiocy is just adding to that.

not saying the lions aren't hurting themselves with stupid penalties... BUT how is it PI for Burleson, but not for Meachem (in the 1st) for essentially the exact same moves?!?!

This is the most frustrated I've ever been watching the Lions in my entire life.

They have zero discipline, and it is costing us dearly.  This game was lost on account of the inability of the players to actually play the right way.  They have enough talent to beat this team, but they can't put it together, and that's on Schwartz.

I'm starting to not believe in Schwartz anymore, and that realization hurts.

Killing themselves with penalties and trying a 55 yard FG was prolly not smart. D had been solid, why not back them up there instead of trying a long fg with not great reward since we'd still need a td? I trust Hanson generally but not the smartest call.

This team is pathetic!  They have committed at least four stupid childish penalties and in two cases lost potential TDs because of them.  They are undisciplined and weak-minded.  Theyw ill not make the playoffs and again we all drank the kool-aid and ate the cornbread.  8-8 is the best this team will do.

It truly sucks being a lifelong Lions fan.

miracles with this team, but he will end going the same way other Lions' coaches have gone.  He'll end up driving himself crazy and ruining his rep trying to change the culture of this hopeless francise.

SCHWARTZ IS THE FUCKING PROBLEM!!! Why can't people like you see that.

No team discipline, atroticious game theory, shoehorning hopeless run plays in at the worst times. These are the marks of a BAD coach, folks. The Lions have actually drafted very well the last few years. It is absolutely infuriating that you paint Schwartz as this galliant warrior faced with too much.

What good did that do?  You netted about 25-30 yards??? I know they are playing stupid right now but Scwartz doesn't need to join in!  Some really bad calls not going the lions way though, pretty ticky tack stuff!

Can someone please explain to me why a defensive pass interference can be nullified if the ball is uncatchable, but it isn't even a factor on offensive pass interference?

For as much as you are all saying about the team's discipline, my big problem with the coaching is the kind of shit that has been going on all year:

-An iso run on 2nd & 14

-A halfback draw on 2nd & 19

-A WR screen on 3rd & 12

I don't even blame Linehan. It's been going on all year with no changes, leading me to believe that these idiotical playcalls are born of Schwartz's philosophy.
