OT: 49er Anthon Davis Retires
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/05/49ers-anthony-davis-ret…
1) How many 49ers from Harbaugh era will be left when the season opens?
2) What's the record for biggest NFL team implosion?
3) Is this "early retirement for health reasons" going to be here to stay?
should consider AARP as a sponsor. . .
Kaep better have a lights out year or the Niners are gonna be on the struggle bus...
Who is blocking for him? It's a no win situation. He will be lucky to survive.
It seems like half their starters from last year are retired
That is his cousin, Bourbon Meyer.
and wrong thread...
I don't know, I think cracked that pretty hard.
Pro bowler RT. That hurts
Never understood the vitriol towards the 49ers. They gave us our dream the unthinkable dream coach. Its like being glad the guy who sold you your dream home is now living on the street. There mistake is our gain, and I wish them well.
Same goes for Freep, really. I was all for the jihad. But its like 6 years ago now, and things are good with the program. Not heatlhy to hold grudges. We got our boy, so heres to fealing good all the time
The whole point of sports is hating other groups/teams for irrationally long periods of time. It is that sublimated hatred that keeps us from going to war with the Germans or Candians.
from the Niners tells me that these guys refuse to play for an obviously incompetent owner and coach. They see where this ship is headed and it's a giant iceberg. Why risk damaging your body for a franchise that is so ineptly run and with little hope of winning a title?
Pray tell us why four guys from the same team suddenly decide to retire in the offseason after their head coach left. I don't think it is concidence.
I like how you assume!
Has a team ever fallen this far, this fast? I mean, two years ago they were a darling SB contender; this year they'll be lucky to win 4 games. And this has to be the most retirements for non-age related reasons in recent memory.
The first formal 49ers team meeting is going to look a bit like this at the current rate...
97.43% confident in Harbaugh to being 99.458% confident. I mean jeez, a 24 year old is "retiring" and giving up a year of his career in his prime just to avoid staying on that franchise. ANYONE still buying that the problem was Harbaugh or "hey both sides were hard to deal with" at this point is a literal moron.
