Incredible story of how tennis legend Arthur Ashe's brother took a second tour of duty with the marines to ensure Arthur could play in the inaugural US Open.
OT: 30 for 30 Short on Arthur Ashe and his Brother
100% agree -- this is an amazing story and very well done!
That is an incredible story of sacrifice and selflessness, and I admit to getting a little choked up at the end there. Very, very moving and something that I never knew about Arthur Ashe's life. Thanks for sharing that.
his kid or grandkid(sorry I forget) went to VCU here in Richmond, they made a statue of him here. He's before my time but I'd be into watching that.
Is this about the (former?) Michigan chemistry professor Arthur Ashe?
I'll be honest, I had never really heard of Arthur Ashe before. I assumed this thread had come up because of the U.S. Open this week, but this is a quality watch.
I love these stories! This one is especially touching :')
That is one of the most inspiring things I have ever seen.
Not ashamed to say I got choked up at the end of it. Very well done, and a great story of love and selflessness.
