He calls that one pornstar a troll and there's another pornstar sitting off to the side of him and  living in his house. I guess because she hasn't come out with any bad stories about him she's all good. Those two girls are not good lookin at all, Bree Olson is alright but the other girl is a mess, her mouth is all fucked up like she fiending for more crack. The lady doing the interview is way better looking than those two hags. What a surprise the pornstar would LOVE to marry Charlie. IT'S ON!!

is that he's encouraged (to the tune of $1.8 million per episode) to play an sex-crazed addict on a prime-time TV show but people freak out when it turns out that he's actually a sex-crazed addict.  It's weird: it used to be that you couldn't show people on TV doing the normal stuff that they actually did (like kissing), now you can talk about all kinds of stuff on prime-time TV that's actually out of bounds in real life.

I see your point, but at the same time actors are paid to portray much worse characters. If the guy who played Hannibal ended up being a real serial killer that ate people's faces I dont think you could reasonably say it's society being hypocritical.

Charlie Sheen's TV personality is entertaining (at least in theory, 2.5 men isnt my thing but it puts up ridiculous ratings) but its reasonable to assume that people only enjoy that personality because they are aware it's fictional and things he does on the show aren't actually hurtings/affecting people in real life.

This is fucking outstanding. OP summed it up best- the new Busey. I am so, so entertained by this. Women must LOVE this guy. Haha. He is the sum of all of the egoism of the past few decades. I love this. Hilarious.

He's got to at least smoke a pack of cigs during this interview, I couldn't sit there and do that interview if he was smoking like that. Cigarette smoke makes my eyes itch, my throat dry and gives me a headache, I don't know how she is doing it. Just baking up your house with cancer sticks while your kids are living there, very healthy for your kids Charlie.

Obviously snorting mountains of coke and smoking crack is worse than smoking cigarettes. I don't care what the hell Charlie does, I just think it's horrible to fill the house with a cloud when your kids are living there.  Cigs are fucking disgusting. Neg away.

comment on smokers like they are chaining a helpless person up in their basement make my eyes itch, my throat dry, and gives me a headache.

You have already put half of the bars and restaurants in this state out of business, leave it at that would ya?

But frankly he's been acting JUST like an addict in denial who leans towards egoism. Frankly I'm just ready for them to find his body in a hotel room so he stops blathering on every tv program out there. (Really, I think he was on Top Chef last week. Though I would pay to see him on Wipeout).

Live thread for the interview. Charlie Sheen, while completely out of his mind, is so entertaining.

He spits out so many great one-liners that I just can't stop watching.....

but my sister has battled substance abuse, addiction and mental illness for 14 years.  Addiction is a very sad, difficult and devastating disease.  I have a hard time watching any of Sheen's interviews because I can't help but think we're all laughing at the consequences and manifestations of his addiction.  I hope and pray he gets the help he needs very soon.

I am with you too. I have close family members that have had issues with substance abuse. However, Charlie is crossing the line from drug and alcohol addict to full on mania. He resembles more Gary Busey and Ozzy Osbourne than famous addicts like Dennis Rodman and Chris Farley. It is obvious that years of abuse have damaged him mentally and psychologically.

Agreed -

My dad is bipolar manic depressive, and Charlie looks much more like someone on a manic high than a drug addict.

Hey, let's all as a society work on making sure he hits the low end of the spectrum a few weeks from now and kills himself! The glee we're all taking in it is upsetting.

Wow- this thing is bigger than I thought.  Charlie Sheen is very close to a complete career revival-megastar status, or premature death.  My guess at this point is the ladder.  If and only if he is truly feeling the way that his words indicate, he meets at least one of the legal definitions of insanity and appears to be close to ending it.

His words are very funny ("I was in the best picture when I was like 20, I wasn't even trying - classic) but they are also truly delusional.  If he is not acting, which he may well be, there is a really hard brick wall closing in on him and he is finished when he finally smacks into it.  What you are hearing and seeing is called mania, it stops, and then things get dark, really dark.

Good luck Bud (Fox).
