It's really too bad when someone this young and full of potential faces something like this. Hopefully he can beat it, and hopefully he can continue to try to achieve his dreams.

What a terrible thing for a kid so young to go through. Hopefully he can battle through it and end up playing college ball. I'm thinking he should be treated at Mott's and brainwashed Maize and Blue during recovery.

Here's hoping Auburn does the right thing and honors his schollarship for four years, even if he never gets the opportunity to play a down.

He'll play O-Line like Armstrong cycled when he was cured. Nobody will make it past him for a sack for 7 seasons... then he'll retire, get bored, come back, and prove he still has it.

If he didn't need surgery and is started on chemotherapy already, he's likely going to eventually be ok. I respect the family's desire for privacy so not knowing the type of cancer makes knowing the outcome difficult. I hope Auburn keeps him on scholarship some way. Keep in mind there are kids and teens and other college students (nevermind the adults) getting cancer everyday, some incurable. If you have the money or the means, donating to their causes is a worthy endeavor.

Best of luck to Coleman and his family. I agree that Auburn should do the right thing and honor his scholarship, regardless of whether or not he plays football. I just lost an uncle to cancer two weeks ago and understand the pain it can cause everyone. Here's hoping he beats this terrible disease and rips up the SEC someday.

MSU had an OG in 2007 that was diagnosed with cancer a month or two before he was supposed to enroll. He's just now getting in football shape. Hope Coleman can overcome the cancer, and maybe get a chance to play.

Beat that cancer! Beat the living crap out of it! Make it beg for mercy that it ever even had the audacity to show its malignant face in your body.
