It's a weird offer no doubt. Ball seems solid and latest news on Dunn is that he apparently reaffirmed his commitment to OSU at their camp this week (who knows if that's true or not). But OSU doesn't throw many offers out (Rivals lists only 77) so if they're offering now, I expect they're legitimately going after Garmon. With Ball and Dunn committed, could very well mean they aren't expecting to sign both of them.

They just received a commitment from an in-state safety (Bogard) who I believe was given his fourth star by Scout after he committed to them.  I wonder if Bogard committed as quickly as possible after hearing that Garmon was offered a scholarship as possibly a safety?

People at Bucknuts were going on about Dunn being at their camp, and how he would take a leadership role. However, If OSU gets hit as bad as we all think... Garman isn't going there.

Looks like it! I think they've Dunn themselves in with the situation they find themselves in!

This is all so confusing, rumor is that Dunn reaffirms to OSU, then OSU offers Garmon and they get a safety commit from Bogard, so I don't know why they would offer Garmon as a S.

I saw a headline about Ohio and this seemed the most reasonable response. That said, their offer to Garmon is indeed peculiar. Why would Garmon who has a laundry list of national offers to play RB move to safety to go to Ohio. Obviously, it's because he's not going to play safety if he even decides to attend there. I would say that Fickell et al. are worried that Dunn will not be staying and they realize the need to target other backs.

It could be just to cover themselves. I can see them offering him being like, we can't accept your commitment unless dunn leaves, which we think is a high possibility.
