OSU UFR Over/Under

Submitted by JeepinBen on

OK, it's Friday and I'm going through UFR withdrawl. Not the past few years the "I don't even wanna hear those 3 letters because OSU whupped us", but the "We just beat OSU, hung 40 on them, and I can't wait to relive it in ridiculous detail" UFR Withdrawl.

That said, make with the UFR Cook!

In the meantime, I figured I'd go all JamieMac and suggest some over unders. If my lines are way off, let me know and I'll adjust them. I'm setting these from memory of watching it live, I haven't seen any replays, so odds are I'll be off on a few. Also I bet Brian is generous with the numbers since we won (at least to offensive players). Also, I have no idea if we're getting the Offensive or Defensive UFR today, so here's everything

Offense:

 Lewan: +8.5, Schofield: +5, Molk: +12, Omameh: +5 ,Huyge: +3.5

Denard: +13.5, Fitz: +8,+5 , Hopkins: +3.5,

Odoms: +5  ,Koger: +4.5 ,Gallon: +3, Hemingway: +3

Defense:

Roh: +5, Martin +11.5, RVB: +12.5, Heininger: +4, BWC: +3, Black: +4.5

Morgan: +3.5 (Huge both ways), Demens: +4.5, Ryan: +6.5

Countess: -2, Gordon: -4, Woolfolk: -3, Floyd: Even, Kovacs: +5.5, Avery +2.5 (Pick rewarded?)

EDIT:

Offensive RPS: +7

Defensive RPS: Even

Refs: - Eleventy Billion

Edits in the numbers above are underlined. General sentiment thus far is I'm too generous with the defense that gave up 34 points.

Overs? Unders? Any I totally missed on?

But what's the over/under for Jayru Campbell after OSU in 2019!?!?!?! People here seem to be missing the important stuff in other threads.

In all seriousness though, I'll take the over on Denard (unless Brian docks him for not taking open running lanes when the throws ended up working out anyway, in which case, under). I think Lewan goes over, and Molk is a push.

Asking about the potential of QB who played in the State Champ. game is the worst thread ever,   but guessing imaginary scores on a game we already saw from a guy we have no idea even watched the game when the real thing will be out in hours is useful?  Don't Get.

Denard +4

Fitz +10

Thought provoking stuff there.

I think those numbers are too big. I have a feeling the seconadry is going to have terrible numbers. Also, Avery got the pic at the end, so why would Countess be rewarded?

how about the o/u for when brian will finally posts the ufr? i'm setting that line at 3pm EST, just in time for everyone to waste the last hour or so of their day before bailing work early.

EDIT: and ya... you're defensive numbers are waaaay optimistic

I think the over was a safe bet. Really safe, that even though he was only doing half this week, the UFRs are usually up by Wednesday.

I thought it was the pain of the loss that delayed them to nothingness all these years....when it looks like it's more the stress of a season of UFRing ending.

And yes, that's what I thought this thread was going to be about when I opened it...a pool on when it'll actually appear. time AND date.

Avery got the pick.  Countess got toasted a few times, but did have a nice breakup on the safety-holding-in-end-zone play.

The chance that Woolfolk ends up in the black seems near impossible, based on my memory.

"Refs: - Eleventy Billion"

Brian is usually pretty forgiving toward the refs, so it'll probably be just under a billion.  BlueSeoul, on the other hand...

ends up in the negative. I don't remember him standing out in a good way at all during the game but certain remember many argh MORGAN moments. Just my two cents. I would love to see Cam Gordon improve enough to get his starting spot back. I mean to start at WLB. I think he Demens and Ryan would be a very good group of B1G LB's. I turst Mattison knows more than me though, I just really thought Cam showed some sparks last year.

I think the linebackers are waaayy overrated at this point. I expect all of them to be negative. I think there were points that they lost contain of either Braxton or the receivers that turned into bigger gains. I can't remember much specifically about any of them, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them all be around like +7 -6 or something

Spielman last season saying something along the lines of, "I'm sorry, but Jordan Kovacs, I'm sure he's a great kid and he plays hard, but he is just not a player that should be starting for Michigan".

I apologize if I botched that completely, but it was in the ballpark of him saying that Kovacs had no business starting for a top tier division 1 football team, and that he was an example of the lack of talent we had.

because Brian is knowledgeable and entertaining.  After watching the "every snap offense" video though, Denard was downright HEROIC.
