OSU still on hot seat?

     I'm out of the country and just checked espn-they're saying the bucknuts received a second letter re: possible violations.  There may still be justice in the world.

Pro tip: don't post a new topic about something remotely news worthy from a foreign country, especially overseas. By the time you wake up, I guarantee it's already been posted. That's a nice way of saying you fail for reposting the major news of the day (it spawned 3 or so topics discussing developments).

While the Dispatch article says the school denied a letter was received, that's not exactly right.

OSU denied that they received NCAA communication of further allegations.  That does not mean they didn't receive a letter indicating further investigation.  Only after an investigation resulted in something would they get a Notice of Allegations or a letter about allegations.

Investigation--->Finding of potential violations--->Notice of Allegation--->Hearing--->Ruling.

The non-tattoo-related potential violations are at the "Investigation" stage, if at all.

Yeah, he might have been a tad late.  But seeing any post that involves THE Ohio State University finally paying for their cheating just makes me smile.  To me, it's a horse that can never die, no matter how many times it is "beaten."

I am just waiting for Ohio's 2012 recruiting class to look more like Ohio University's class by February 2.  I also hope the Dunn family is having serious discussions right now.

The sadness is keeping me happy and the longer it stays on the top page the better regardless of outcome. Aug 12th comes and goes, then they have to suffer all season with pendulum swinging back and forth with the new investigation/possible coaching change.

If you look at the actual quotes from OSU, they appear to be denying that there are new "allegations" (as in, a "Notice of Allegations" from the NCAA), not that there is an ongoing "investigation."  They are being legalistic.  OSU's fine distinction was probably lost on the newspapers.

So basically it looks like there is an ongoing investigation and that OSU has not actually denied that there is an ongoing investigation.
